bakntime
File Name: Yankee Stadium V1 File Submitter: bakntime File Submitted: 20 Mar 2009 File Category: MLB 2K9 - Stadiums Here's V 1.0 of my new Yankee Stadium mod. Here's a list of mods (I may have forgotten a couple minor ones): -Replaced most scoreboard and banner ads (Budweiser ad thanks to rolie) -Armitron clock on top of LF scoreboard -CF restaurant batter's eye darkened and "flattened" (the bump maps were too curvy) -Dugout back wall replaced with blue padding, rest of dugout color fixed -Yellow water coolers replaced with blue texture with Yankee logo -All padded outfield fencing replaced with dark blue, "408" in CF changed from white to black (for batter's eye) -Light blue facing around all decks replaced with gray walls -Frieze modified where possible to be lighter color, circular frieze holes changed to rectangular -Retired numbers replaced (thanks to MarlinsMY) -NY logo behind homeplate replaced (thanks to MarlinsMY) -Miscellaneous textures lightened or darkened where it seemed appropriate Temporary placeholder textures for possible future improvement: -replaced "auxiliary video boards" with "Welcome to Yankee Stadium" -Hard Rock Cafe logo on LF scoreboard Basically I thought those last two looked ok so I kept it that way. Until more ads are finalized at the stadium, I've gotten most of the ads already (Utz, Nathans, Delta, Casio, etc) Beyond the modifications I've made, I'm not sure a whole lot more will be possible. There are many textures that are reused all over the place, so modifiying a texture to look good in one place messes up another. All in all, I think it looks good, and it definitely looks much better than out of the box. Click here to download this file

bakntime
Have to ask a stupid question.. How do you install this stadium? Nice job BTW... Yeah, I should have included some instructions in the RAR file. Thanks MarkB... For anyone still confused, you must first extract the RAR file using a RAR program like winRAR. The stadium_nyy.iff file must then be placed into your MLB2k9 install directory. You can simply overwrite the original, however I would recommend making a backup copy of the "stadium_nyy.iff" file before you overwite it with the new file, just in case you ever want to go back. Just copy the file to a new folder called "original files" or something like that, or what I do sometimes is just rename it to something like "stadium_nyy.iff.original." mike360
Well done, man.. The way 2K did it - the walls looked like pool liner.
pcstar3000
Nice job on creating this great new park. I love the realism and detail of it and I wanted to provide u some recent pics to help with a update. http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3386724821 http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3386723043 http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3387538510 http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3386724821 http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3387537556 http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3386725571 http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3386723929 http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3386784595 http://www.flickr.com/photos/79351787@N00/3386781775 As u can see, these shots were taken during the WFAN Morning show and it seems that a few more signs have been added. AT&T and Ford on the LF sides, Zales, H&R Block & Sports Authority on the Yankee bullpen side, Sharper Image & NY Presbyterian Hospital on the visitor bullpen side and Modells under the RF bleachers plus the 3 Pepsi brands on top of the RF scoreboard. Also, someone has to figure out how to add the scoreboards along both LF & RF walls. I passed by there Today and I gotta say that urs is just as real as the real one. Hope these pics can help u make it better. PS in advance, sorry about how the links may show up, I'm a complete noob when it comes to copying & pasting picture links. bakntime
As u can see, these shots were taken during the WFAN Morning show and it seems that a few more signs have been added. The stadium is almost complete, and there's a much better picture of what the ads are. Some things can't be changed, due to the fact that the game reuses the same textures in different locations around the stadium, so getting an exact duplicate won't be possible until we can edit the 3D models, if that ever becomes a possibility. Also, someone has to figure out how to add the scoreboards along both LF & RF walls. I passed by there Today and I gotta say that urs is just as real as the real one. Hope these pics can help u make it better. The way they resused the outfield wall textures is going to make it hard to reproduce, but I'm going to put some some of the wall ads up. I should be able to get one of the manual scoreboards up (if I recall it would be the RF one), but the LF manual scoreboard location was a wall ad texture that 2K reused in two different locations along the outfield wall, so it won't be possible. Some other mods I'm working on for V2: Fix some details in monument park Fix scoreboard ads to better reflect actual ads Fix some misc dugout textures Fix on deck circle logos Make some detail adjustments on various textures Add outfield wall advertisments Add (hopefully) one of the manual outfield wall scoreboards Add "FT" to the distance markers Make some further adjustments to the concession stands Fix some of the bump maps It might be a while before I can make all the changes, but I am working on things here and there. If anyone can find any straight on, high resolution pictures of the new ads, please let me know. And if you're going to be taking a tour, or will be attending either of those exhibition games vs. the Cubs at the new stadium, I'd love to get some straight on close ups of the ads that could be used in the game.
