kgbaseball
Depending on what card you get, you might need a new power supply. I'm guessing your current psu isn't too strong.
SeaTrane
xp and vista x32 will only rcognize 4 gb of ram most of the time you will only 3 or 3.5 gb when you look. 2 gb is fine

kgbaseball
Yep, I'd recommend getting a 400+ watt supply.

wrigleyville33
More RAM never hurts. But keep in mind that if you go with a 4GB RAM, XP will utilize only around 3GB. I went ahead and bought a 4GB RAM when I built my computer mainly because I would eventually install Windows 7 when the full version comes out. As of this moment, my computer is utilizing only 3.25GB RAM. If you currently have XP and won't be upgrading your OS when Windows 7 comes out or with Vista, I would suggest that you go with a 3GB RAM. Same thing happened to me with my 4gbs of ram. Today, I had to completely reformat my vista rig to xp, as for some reason, my ati drivers funked out after a windows update. I'm now running xp, and my 4 gigs of ram is now down to 3.25. Not only that, my incredible graphics card now can't display directx 10 while in xp. I'm anxiously awaiting Windows 7.
binarystar
Those are both pretty lackluster cards.....for not much more...get this... 9600GT Best most powerful card under $100. Is way more than enough for this game. Also, for everyone wondering if he has an AGP or PCIE mobo...if he bought it in 08' from dell....it's PCIE. No doubt about it. All the major prebuilt PC companies stopped selling AGP boards like 3 years ago.....

kenkickr
If your going for the 8400 or 8500GT then your 300W should be able to power them fine. I would recommend the 9600GT or better yet, and cheaper, the 9600GSO. With either of the 9600's your best interest would be to upgrade the PSU as well with a nice quality PSU, recommendation would be the Corsair 400W, 520W(modular), or 550W. Recommended 9600GSO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130437 Recommended PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817139008 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....=501%20-%20600W Also note, when changing out the PSU on Dell's it's more than likely your going to have to mod the case to fit an aftermarket PSU.
