Rogers Center 2009 Very Early Wip

Okay, so I have decided to give Rogers Center an overhaul. I understand the basics of the .IFF Editor, so I figured, what the hell. MY problem right now, I cannot find any pics of the Out Of Town Scoreboards. Does anyone have any, or know where on the net I can find some?

Right now, I am just goofing around with Ad placement, seeing how things end up in game, etc. Here's a brief shot of a Rogers ad in the outfield, with an IRVING Oil sign, just for fun. My Rogers Center will probably be a mix of real 2009 ads, and a few ads thrown in there for fun.

So I realize this is going to be a totally inaccurate reworking of Rogers Center, but as the season progresses, I will try and my the appropriate changes, so that it is more accurate. I am just tired of playing a season with a bunch of crappy looking ads. Anyway, another update.

Changed the logo from 2K Sports, to the Jays logo on the orange seats....also changed the alternating ads on the revolving sign behind homeplate. Below is an example of an ad in-game, and the ads that will rotate. Anyone wanting an ad in-game, let me know and I will add it. This for me, is just practice.

Best Source for pictures is flickr.com.

Constructive criticism- Your white values need to be toned down, lowered to about how the the mlb network sign is next to your dodge sign. I recommend never using white or near white, and go down to about a 50% gray. It'll look really dark in photoshop but it'll be brighter in game. If the layers aren't separated I think you can achieve that by using hue saturation and darkening it.

Thank you sir, I will do just that. Never did this before, that's why I figured by releasing pics, you gys could tell me what I am doing wrong.

Cannot find a decent pic of the outfield scoreboards. On top of that, they are setup the same way as ads, so they repeat over and over. This pic looks bad, I may have to go back to the blank, dreary looking walls that 2K made.

  • 2 weeks later...

quick thought DJ. If the scoreboard is a nightmare and just wont look good why not throw a MVPmods logo there?

Hell it will look better than a blank wall, and a little bit of advertisement never hurt anyone LOL

MVPMods ad is the best in the stadium. :)

Nice work man.

Thanks you sir.

Answering Hoops27: The problem with the scoreboard is that it is just like an ad. It is the same space, on each part of the outfield walls. If I put an MVPMods ad out there, then it would just duplicate across the outfield walls.

I cannot seem to find a proper Nikon ad for the outfield wall. Also noticed that the Nikon ad is associated with the scoreboard.....pretty stupid. I don't like how the have ads for the "jumbotron", not sure what to use up there fo ads..any suggestions?

Also, there is one extra ad out in centerfield, the mlb.com one, I will replace that with something, not sure what though.

Anyway, does anyone have a pic of the Canadian Logo, and the "ted" logo from the Jays uniforms?

Thanks alot! I am going to look into just adding the patches to the Jays uniforms that come with the game. I am by no means a Uniform modder, so I will do my best.

Here is the "Ted" patch. Is it to big? I am placing the Canadian Leaf next. Keep in mind, I am not redoing the uniforms, haven't attempted that yet, just placing the patches on the uniforms that were provided by 2K Sports.

i love you djeagles and I think it is great that you, of all people, are doing rogers center, but that scoreboard texture is probably the ugliest stadium texture in the history of mvpmods. :D If you want I can try to come up with something a bit better.

Please, would you. I have just left that in-game, while I tried to come up with something better.
