gowingsgo8803
Hey guys, After having MVP 2005 and 07, I have never been able to pick off a runner because of the controls that I set up. So, you can imagine the look on my face once I realized that I could for MVP 08. After switching up my controls (I didn't like my 5th pitch to be designated to a trigger on my controller), I lost the ability to pick off a runner on base. I immediately deleted the button that was stopping this, but I still don't have the controls back to the way they were when I initially installed 08. I don't want to re-install the entire game, since I'd lose my franchise. I also deleted the Controller.CFG file from My Documents/MVP 08, etc but to no avail. Is there a way to reset the controls back to their default settings? If it helps, I'm using a Saitek P2500 Rumble Force Gamepad. Thanks in advance

Maestro23
You can re-install the game and not lose your Franshise file. Franchise files are saved in the MVP folder under My Documents. Just copy it somewhere, then re-install the 08 mod. Copy the franchise file back to the MVP folder under My Documents and load your game. Dynasty files, Profiles, etc... are save in the MVP folder under My Documents.

I might have to do that, but I don't have the CDs on me at the moment, since I'm at school and play MVP on 3 different computers (I'm using mounted images). Is there another way without re-installing the game? If it can't be done, it's no big deal, I can do it eventually, but it's a pain in the *** not being able to try and keep the runner on base. I might just fool around with it more and see if I can fix it by accident, but I'm afraid of screwing the controls up even more, which would leave me without MVP for the whole week :p
emath2432
You can reload 08 using your images.
gowingsgo8803
I tried that originally when upgrading from 07 to 08, but I don't have CD 1 on me, only 2. I used the ISOs to go from 2005 to 07, so I don't know why it didn't work this time around.
