adrift392
Hi, 1. I keep getting whacked for homeruns too much.. I even have their power on -50 but I give away 2-3 homeruns every match... what else can i do to fix this? 2. What are placeholder files? I want to use uniforms I have for a different team but I hear you need to change the placeholder files?

I want to use uniforms I have for a different team but I hear you need to change the placeholder files? #1. Practice. If you make bad pitches, they are gonna go out of the park. If you make good pitches, they aren't as likely to do so. I still have trouble with this as well. If I don't focus 100% each pitch, and don't time my button pressing right, and miss the mark... Bye bye baseball. #2 If you use tit to install, and are overwriting some of the current uniforms, you don't have to worry about them. I have installed quite a few uniforms, and they work just fine, and I know very little, if anything, about placeholder files.
Yankee4Life
Emath, that's new to me. Placeholder files in Mvp? I wonder if he means default files?
emath2432
No, Homer has talked about them before. I will see if I can find the thread from last week sometime. Plus, if you ever did any audio modding, there are two files you need to mod. One is the audio itself, and one is the HDR file. The HDR file is essentially a place holder file. If a player doesn't have audio, and you add audio to his ID, it still won't say anything until you mod an HDR file for that slot. If that slot already had audio (either with the 05 game out of the box, or created by someone over the years), then it would work without modding one. EDIT: Here is where Homer explained it for someone else, in regards to uniform slots. LINK

I have never added a uniform to an empty slot, that I am aware of, or remember, so I am not sure if you need to create them if you do...
myseason
Placeholder file are the files found in the uniform.big. You will notice that in uniform.big you have a primary uniform slot named for example 024.fsh. In this example this shows the uniform portrait for each uniform in the game for the Cardinals. Below it you see a number of files named 024a.fsh, 024b.fsh and so on. These are the placeholders that Homers refers to. I have found the best way to add them(024a.fsh) is to extract one using EAGraph and then simply rename it to a different uniform slot and then add using Intaller Thingy. Extract the the portrait uniform file(024.fsh) and add the appropriate portrait to your file and adjust the index file then use fshtool to compress. Add back in to uniform.big again using the Intaller Thingy. Last add your uniform to models.big and your set.
