jg2977
Does anybody have the ratings for Mark McGwire so that I can create him? I think I saw somewhere that his contact was 89 vs. lefties/87 vs. righties, and his power was 99 vs. lefties/97 vs. righties, but I can't be too sure. His speed was 60. Also, I need to know what kind of face, hair style, etc. to use.

KerryW
Contact 89?? Are you insane?? During that 1998 season in which he hit 70 homeruns, he hit for what, a .278 average?...plus, he's a career .263 hitter.. give him a lower 70s rating in both stats for contact.. mrg1
in 1998 he had a .299 batting average... when you consider the distribution of contact ratings in MVP Baseball, it would be ridiculous to give him a low 70s contact unless of course youre talking about that last not-so-memorable season he had before his abrupt retirement... that was ridiculous

This might have been what you were remembering jg2977: http://www.jonathandevine.com/rosters/player_info.php?ID=65 Those ratings are based off of his 1996 ratings. .312 BA, 52 HR. paulw
The way the ratings work in MVP Contact is based both upon batting average AND strikeouts. I come up with a CONTACT rating of about 67 for 1998 and 61 for 1999. His Power should be at 100. He's off the scale. 60 for speed at this time is way to fast. More like 35 or 40. I think these are even a bit high.
McDiddy
35-40 speed is terrible. Even though McGwire was a big power hitter, you have to remember that he was also just flat out athletic.
Arod52
do they have A-Rod stats cause i dont like the ones on mvp
paulw
McGwire in his mid 30's was like an old plow horse going around the bases. He didn't have a lot of speed when he has young. A great athlete, but definelty not a whiz on the bases.

paulw
I never knew this. Do you edit from inside MVP itself? I've always used MVP Edit. Is 127 equivilent to a 100 in MVP edit??
krawhitham
Is 127 equivilent to a 100 in MVP edit?? NO you have to open lhattrib.dat and/or rhattrib.dat with notepad and enter the # you want for some reason MVPEDIT will only allow you to go up to 100, but the game allows values up to
