richjone
OK, I know this is the forum for 2004, but since I just lost my job, and 2003 is one of my favorite all time PC games that i actually own, is there a downloads part i'm just missing for the older 2003 files? I thought at one time i remember seeing a roster or saved game editor and stuff like that. thanks everybody!
MarkB
I could have sworn Baseball Sim Central had some, but I just checked and there's hardly anything there. I did find some 2004 rosters, the 2003 1.1 patch, and this forum on BBSC, but not much else I'm afraid. Sorry to hear about the job, best of luck finding something else. richjone
Thanks for trying, and for the good luck. I even tried editing the .dat files for the game, or a .sav, but it's obviously over my talent level, because the game either crashes or says the files aren't valid after I mess with them. If anyone else out there has any ideas, I thank you in advance.
yanksrcool05
End of 2007 roster here: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?autocom=d...p;showfile=4396 Facepacks and portraits here: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?autocom=d...p;showfile=2728 and http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?autocom=d...p;showfile=2665 It might be a bit old, but it's better than nothing. Take note, these things may not be compatible with each other.
richjone
thanks man. i couldn't get that 30 man roster one to work but found another saved roster by the same guy that was a .sav file which worked after i renamed it. now if i could just figure out how to edit that .sav file that i could get to work, i noticed a couple things that were off, like Miguel Cabrera being faster than Curtis Granderson, which we all know is just a tad off haha. this is definitely going to make this game fun again. thanks everybody!! MarkB
Nice find yanksrcool05, I didn't know we had any 2003 mods. :)
richjone
http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?autocom=d...p;showfile=4396 does anyone know how i would get this to work? i thought i could just replace the files in the actual program files folder than do a reload of default rosters or something, but it didn't work, or i did something wrong, which is more likely the case haha. piratesmvp04
You can use MVP 04 and MVP 05 unis with MVP 03. But, you first have to extract the uniform fsh files from the models.big file. Then, you have to insert all those fsh files into the uniform folder in your MVP 03 folder (I can't remember what it's called). I figured that out because someone over at EAMods was working on a total conversion for MVP 03, but it kind of fell through. I was helping him out, and I figured out how to convert the unis for MVP 03. It'll take a little modding work from you, but it's not hard. I still have the converted unis for 2008; if you want them, ask thespungo to see if it's okay (they're his unis), and then I can send them to you. MacTheSack6
Hey is there any sort of MVPEdit for MVP Baseball 2003? If not is there anyway that I can possibly edit the current players in the game such as Miguel Cabrera who sucks in 2003 but is MVP of 2010? chris3233
I know this is an OLD post, but you can edit the .dat files with notepad and fix players like cabrera and whatnot. its time consuming but you can do it. also make sure you fix the star rating or whatever its called so players can develop properly. Hopefully you found the roster files from like 2007, will give you a much better base. but it still has players like pedroia greinke as very bad and low star power ratings so they wont develop into all-stars unless you tweak. The file format for those files is very simple, and at the top of each file it tells you the format of the file below. I truly wish someone with programming experience could take some of these updated files people are creating for newer MVP games and use it to convert them to the 2003 base dat files. they would be my hero!
