Total Installer Thingy Problem

Ok, well, decided I would try to download and install the MVP 2008 mod, which requires the TiT installer. However, EVERY time I try to install ANYTHING using it, it tells me to redownload, the file is corrupt. My question is: Why? Not every file download can be corrupted. I've uninstalled TiT and redownloaded it and I keep getting the same problem. I'm pretty knowledgable when it comes to things like this but I can't figure out what the hell is going on? Any TiT expert able to give me a possible heads up? love this game, but I'm about ready to just give up on it.

I've been using Google Chrome as one of my browsers and I'm thinking that may be the problems with the DLs. I'm redownloading MVP08 with Firefox and I'll let you guys know if I'm having the same problem. BTW, anyone else using Chrome?

Problem solved! Google Chrome apparently caused the download problem. Everything works great now!

I have the error problem usign TIT for Vers 3 of the 09 uni's.

Hi guys,

My problem with TiT is a little different. I installed MVP 08 (WS edition) fine with the newest version of TiT. I tried to install both the new unis and new portraits, but TiT hangs on the yellow screen saying that it is, "installing new files".

Basically TiT freezes up at that point, and does not install the portraits/unis to the game. I have installed the needed files from Kraw's link. Due to me using Windows XP SP3, I can't re-install .net 2.0.

Any ideas what I could do?

As for the TiT problems, can you check to see if you also have installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package and the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package. These two files must be installed to have this utility run properly.

Also, after you have installed these two files from Microsoft there is another thing that is required to let TiT work properly. This is from the readme: You must give this program complete freedom within your firewall/antivirus/spyware program, It operates at the command line level and many said programs will block it from doing its thing. Sometimes this is overlooked.

I have XP w/SP3 and I installed those uniforms a few days ago with no problems.

How long is this "freeze"?

It took awhile for them to install, so be patient and let TiT do its job.

Thanks for the help. The installer is frozen for over an hour, I can't exit out, can't do anything but minimize it. I did install 2.0 .netfix. I use Norton Antivirus 2009, how exactly would I configure that to allow the program to work? I tried to disable Norton when installing the unis and that didn't work.

I tried playing MLB 2k9, but found myself missing the MVP experience; it's modders/members of this site that keep a 4 year old game great!

I may not be the best person to answer this, but I will give it a go. My anti virus pops up a message any time something is blocked, and wants to know if I want to allow it, or keep it blocked. Norton may not do this, I don't know. I guess, all i am saying is that I know if something is blocked by whether or not I get this message.

Also, I would assume that it has some sort of an exceptions list, maybe in the settings. I really don't know too much about it though, so maybe someone else can give you a better answer.

All right guys;

I went through and reinstalled everything needed for TiT to run. I ran it and tried to install the new unis and portraits again. The yellow installing screens stayed on all night and neither the portraits or unis were installed.

I do have an 'install' folder in my mvp main directory that contains all the new stuff but it does not show up in my game itself.

Any ideas?
