hal_2604
I own two laptops, one of them is down for the count but it is both older than the one I am currently using (to create this very post) and significantly less powerful. The "worse" laptop (Compaq v6000) has a 1.7GHz processor and 1.0GB of ram. While this laptop (Toshiba Satellite U300) has specs that are as follows: Intel Core2 Duo CPU T5250 @ 1.50GHz ( 2 CPUs), ~1.5GHz 3062MB RAM ****** Both laptops are running windows vista (32-bit) home premium with all mostly the same mods and patches on mvp 2005. Major mods include: Total conversion to mvp 08 baseball and total conversion to mvp 94 baseball. Minor mods include: stadium/roster/uniform/portait/fielding glove/umpire uniform/fox mlb theme/yes network overlay/music importer for the 08 conversion & just music importer for the 1994 conversion. I've used schedule changer a few times. FYI I have no other issues besides the following: The game runs slow/choppy on the toshiba laptop. This is frustrating/confusing because by what I can tell it should have the capability to run better. Anyone have a clue? Thanks so much in advance. P.S. I've changed to 1x rosters, lower stadium textures, lower resolution, higher resolution (to match my 1280x800 thinking that if that may make a difference, but it made it worse, actually), uninstalled and reinstalled both the '94 and '08 mods, tested a clean unpatched/modded mvp baseball 2005. I've even set all the specs to lowest or even off but the problem is exactly the same no matter what res. or quality or features I have on. vsync on or off doesn't make a different either (I've done some reading around the forums before I wrote this, clearly. . .hope that gives me back the points I'm probably going to lose for writing this novel post lol).
