I'm sorry to say it, but you've seriously downgraded the quality of Rolie's mod here.

Having the most up to date ads doesn't mean much if the source of them is crap. Using actual photos should only be the process if there are no better options available.

Photos should be used as a guideline, to tell you what you need. For example, part of your new mod are ads for Best Buy and Geek Squad that you took from a photo. But these are logos that are easily found online, and you can make a MUCH better looking ad by taking the logos, resizing them, and making the ad yourself. This is what Rolie does, and what I do, and what stadium modders have done for a long time.

I don't know what program you're using for your image work, but I think your time would be better served in learning how to use it. I believe you said you're just starting out with modding, and that's great, but you could use a few lessons in image manipulation. Rotating images for example. So many of the ads you do are crooked, and your presentation could easily be improved if you just rotate the image a bit so you have a straight ad.

Beyond that, go back and look at the mods you've already done, and find ways to improve them and make them look better. As you're learning how to do this, that's one of the best ways to get an education. Make your mods the best they can be before trying to put your spin on a mod that quite frankly doesn't need it.

DonSPa, no need to remove any of it!

You shouldn't feel guilty about anything. You updated DS because I was to lazy to. Pirate uses photos all the time and he is a Stadium Golden God.

Halofan has excellent tips that could surely help any modder. If you do continue to use photos, you could straighten the ads just by turning on the grid. Under view> show grid and rotating the image along the grid.

you don't need to remove it at all. nothing says you can't update a version later on :) I have all your stadiums in my game and I really enjoy them. Please keep up the good work!

I use your ballparks in my game, you do good work. Halo fan has now become the Simon Cowell of MVP Mods, brutal but honest. You have taken it well and with grace, keep at it, don't give up and thanks for the work you hve done so far.

sorry didnt mean anything by or upset anyone ill stop making any new ones do u know of a tutorial for photoshop??

My apologies if I gave the impression you did something wrong. That wasn't my intention with my comments. Really, I just wanted to give you some constructive criticism on how to improve your work.

Don't let my comments stop you from modding, it's great that there are new people picking up the mantle and doing it. My stadium work goes back 8 years now, it does take time to get things to the highest levels.

The best advice I can give you is to pick one stadium, and know it inside and out. Play with photoshop, learn how to use it. Look for individual images of ads as opposed to images of stadiums, and have fun with it.

I think your off to a great start. I'd give anything to be able to do some modding, but with vista most utilities don't work. I've designed golf courses for pga2000 as well as tiger woods games. I've also designed and still do cars for nascar 2003 from sierra sports. Since my new pc which unfortunately has vista, alot of the programs won't work anymore. I've tried to get the beta .iff program to work but vista just won't let me.

The .iff program works just fine in Vista. About the only program that Vista can't run is OEdit, but that's for MVP modding.

I dual boot XP and Vista, but this weeked I installed VirtualBox, which allows me to have a virtual install of XP within Vista. OEdit works fine in there.

Windows 7 will come with it's own virtual machine. It looks like its going to be pretty seamless.

BTW, it's not a problem with Vista, it's that these programs have been abandoned. OEdit hasn't been updated in 6 years.
