McDiddy
You have to have a coverter... like a Sharkport or a MAX Drive.

McDiddy
These are the instructions that I've went by... For people downloading the rosters using an X-Port/Sharkport I want everyone to know that the Sharkport and X-Port are the same thing, just different packaging! You also need to know that you can't use a Gameshark to use the roster files (just a Sharkport or X-Port from Interact/Datel). Unfortunately, X-Port and Sharkport discs do not run on all playstation 2 consoles! Newer ps2's will not recognize X-Port or Sharkport (blue back) discs and will say "Disc Read Error". You will need to make sure that your ps2 does not have a serial number beginning with "PX...". Your ps2 needs to have a serial number that begins with "PT...". Ok, now that that's been explained... Before you begin, make sure you are running on Sharkport 2.0 software! You can upgrade to Sharkport 2.0 by clicking here: http://www.ps2rosters.com/sharkport2.exe I suggest running the Sharkport 2.0 software even if you are using an X-Port disc in your ps2. Then, if you downloaded a file that is compressed (*.zip format), you need to unzip the files so that they are in *.sps format. To unzip the files, use WinZip. If you don't have WinZip, you can download it by clicking here: http://www.ps2rosters.com/wzipse22.exe You may also need the Xlink drivers. If you need to update your Xlink drivers you can download them by clicking here: http://www.ps2rosters.com/Xlinkdrivers.zip First of all, plug in your PS2 near your computer. You don't need to view what is happening on the PS2 so don't worry about your PS2 not being connected to your tv. Then connect your PS2 to your computer with the Sharkport/X-Port cable using the USB ports on your PS2 and computer. Then insert the PC disc into your computer and run the install or setup program. Next insert the PS2 disc into your PS2 and then hit reset so that it loads the disc. Make sure you wait 15 to 20 seconds for the disc to load on your PS2 before you start the Sharkport 2 program on you PC! Once installed and your PS2 has been running for 15 to 20 seconds, run the Sharkport2.exe program and you should be ready to begin. To load the roster save onto your memory card, click on the PC Database at the bottom of the screen. Then under Actions, click Import Saves. Find the (*.sps) roster file you downloaded and click open. Under Games Found, you will now find a NCAA Roster New 01 section. The name might be different depending on the roster file. Place a check in the box! Then click restore!!! You're finished!
BrckBrlnXII
Is the serial number the barcode on the back of the ps2? Cause mine starts with PX so does that mean I cant use the x port?
McDiddy
That is probably so. You may have to get a Max Drive if anything. If you're interested, here's the Max Drive instructions... 1. First download the file. 2. Save the file to your Documents or any place you’ll remember. 3. Then insert the MAX Drive into any of the USB ports on your computer. 4. Open up both the place you saved it to and the MAX Drive window (should be the F: Drive on a computer). 5. Copy the file, then paste it into the F: drive window. 6. Now turn on your PS2. 7. Put in the MAX Drive startup disc that should have come with the MAX Drive. 8. Press the X button and you should get to a menu. (Do not press Start as that will then ask you to put a game disc). 9. Go to the My Devices icon and press X. You should get a screen showing three options (Mem Card 1, Mem Card 2, and the MAX Drive). 10. Go to the memory card you wish to save to and make sure u have at least 1096 kb free. 11. Go to the Max Drive. 12. If you are doing this correct you should have a file named & MVP 2004 mvpmods.(& means it is crushed or zipped to a smaller size) 13. Highlight that and press the right button. Go down to uncrush and select which memory card you wish to save to then press X. (This is exactly like Win-Zip). 14. Check to see if the roster file is there (should be called MVP 2004 mvpmods). 15. Go back to the main menu and press Start. Click X and open the disc drive and insert your copy of MVP. 16. Go to Roster Management on the main menu of MVP and load the rosters. 17. If you want to use the rosters in a dynasty I’m afraid you’ll have to start over. When you go to New Dynasty make sure that Use Default Rosters is OFF. That should do it! footballforever
you might as well take those maxdrive convert instuction down cause they don't work. I been trying this for the last 2 hours and it does not work for nothing. It doesn't matter how many times I copy the file to the maxdrive device, everytime I start up the maxdrive softwar in my Ps2 and look into the maxdrive device there no file at all,But if I look at the maxdrive device when it's in my Pc I see the file, I did this a 100 times and nothing. So if there is another secrect please let me know. I was think are you sure you don't have to rename the file or anything.
