Yankee4Life
Un-believable! I actually picked off for the 1st time eva!! Got this game for PS2 3/10/05, and finally!! Guys ignore the booing of the crowd when trying. Yeah, you had that guy dead to rights. Good for you. And MILKMANANT has a very good tip here. Even if you are the home team, the crowd is going to boo if you throw over repeatedly. That's fine, let them do it. Because here is what happens when you keep throwing over: the runner is going to shorten his lead. so.. did you do anything different? I've been trying to "practice" with different techniques, like trying to press both buttons at the same time, the throw button a smidge before the trigger (in my controller set-up), but haven't had success. Do what I said and play a game where you put the first guy on base each inning. That's how I practiced. Walk the first guy you face each inning. Try to get him. Play one game with a right handed pitcher and another one with a lefty. That's all I can tell you. My problem is that I use a xbox 360 controller and I dont know what buttons to press to try a pickoff. I have gone into the controller configuration and tried to figure it out but I haven't been able to. Can anyone help me? Not me, I know nothing about the 360 controller. Dalebopp
My problem is that I use a xbox 360 controller and I dont know what buttons to press to try a pickoff. I have gone into the controller configuration and tried to figure it out but I haven't been able to. Can anyone help me? There are two pick-offs available. One is slow, one is a quicker move. Slow Hold down LT and hit the respective base (button 1, first/etc) Fast Hold down LR and hit the respective base (" ","/") If that doesn't work... your controller might need to be set correctly, if so... go here (http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=39709&hl=controller) and follow those steps. -Scott

Are you using a 360 controller? (sounds like it), go here if so. You might need to set your controller up correctly.. Patrick1609
Thanks. It works perfectly now I had to do some more tweaks (I need to pitch with A, B, C, B, RB)
