rookie_rick Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 I am using a generic 12 button controller and i am having issues with picking players off. The pick off meter doesn't fill out and so all the pick off attempts are really weak throws. I am not sure how to correct this problem. Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated. rookie_rick Posted May 20, 2009 Author Share Posted May 20, 2009 I have sorted my issue by messing around with the controller.cfg but i don't know what i exactly did. The solution might be linked to me changing the buttons that are used to throw to the bases on pick offs. Opposed to using the arrow buttons, i changed to using the same buttons as are used to pitch. Jim825 Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 Glad to hear you solved your problem. That's the way that pickoffs work on my controller as well. I hold the left trigger button and then press the button corresponding to the base I want to throw to (1, 2, 3 or 4). rookie_rick Posted May 20, 2009 Author Share Posted May 20, 2009 I thought i had solved the problem but it just messed up the rest of the controller. The rest of the buttons are back working and the pitch out now works great. The pick offs though still don't work. In the controller.cfg i changed the povs to 0 and the pick offs worked but the rest of the controller didn't. It is set to 1 as default and the controller works fine but the pick offs don't work regardless of the buttons i assign them to. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
