What Does Your Mvp Look Like?

So JR, what made you come back to mvp?

The Show looks fantastic, unbelievably good with all the small details included.  2K9 looks great, and has probably some of the best commentary I've ever heard in a sports game.

I've tried them both, but in end, it's the gameplay to me that's important.  It's a little rough coming back to the graphics, but after tweaking the datafile/sliders, there is just simply no better game of baseball out there.

I'm playing with the Phillies and that's a look at the NL East (as of May 23rd).

I'm gonna play the second game against the Yankees later today.

Here's a quick look at some stats:

May 22nd Phils-Yankes

Interleague Series

Most HR: Howard (13)

Most RBI: Howard (33)

Best AVG: Howard (.353)

Best ERA: Madson (0.00 in 13 IP)

Most Wins: Myers (6-1 in 9 G)

Most IP: Hamels & Myers (61.1)

Most Saves: Lidge (12/12)

Ibanez went to the DL a month ago and is set to return after the Yankees Series. Newly acquired OF Dexter Fowler took overhis role during the Interleague Weekend.

That is a beautiful thing Trues.

I agree.  I love the batting view, I probably need to back mine off the plate a tad.  I've spent all morning going through the overlays in the download section.  It's amazing how many options there are to choose from.

Patrick1609, whose datafile are you using? I kinda like that pitching view.

I like a lot of the behind the pitcher views I've seen, I just could never play that way.  Over the years I got so used to the behind the catcher view, I think my depth perception just used to it.

I actually downloaded that overlay ^^^ again today.  Will probably use it for a good part of my season.

I'd love to see someone post a good, solid overlay tutorial.  Unless I'm just missing it, I think the only one I've found has been in the MVP 04 section.

I hate playing with the "Behind the pitcher view." Mainly because of the catcher not throwing the ball back to you. It looks more funnier than a batting view. JR I was looking for an overlay tutorial too, but for now I'm just touching up one on here.

I play with the ESPN overlay but i really want a sportsnet one(the home of the Jays). I might try one later.

Ugh, i really wish i could get screenshots but I play my MVP on my laptop which i very rarely hook up to the internet. I might take some and put them on a flash drive.

Yeah, that ESPN overlay is just money. Trues' is the overlay king, but he's sitting on that info like it's a state secret. :D

Maybe if you say "Go Cubs Go" enough times, he might release the info. ;)

..you notice I didn't outright ask for the tea though..    B)

Like I said, I was going through the overlay section in the downloads earlier, he made a ton of them.  Great stuff.

The secret is....I just hate typing. :)

I'm sorry Maestro, but I couldn't take anyone serious that said that. :D

Trust me man, I can't stand that song either. That's why we're on a 7-game skid, got a theme song that should be played on a Blues Clues episode. -_-:D

Great post Y4L.
