lyon810
I am playing the game with the 2008 Total Conversion Mod and I'm almost done my first season with my Halos. However, I have noticed that my pitchers can't seem to throw the "heat" faster than 88 mph. There are a few pitchers who can still launch it in the 90's, but guys such as Lackey and Jered Weaver who I know can throw hard can't seem to break the 88 mph barrier. I tried sitting a few starters and skipping a start here and there in the hope that maybe rest would bring them back to normal, but nothing changed. I know something is up because I acquired a pitcher whom I faced and was throwing around 94 mph, picked him up about two weeks later and he can't throw faster than 88 mph. Any thoughts? Gordo
Nothing like the 3 hour bump. Keep in mind that a pitcher with a RATING of 90 in the fastball, doesn't equate to 90mph. So report what your rosters are showing for those pitches for those pitchers. **If no one responds to this in 3 hours.... I will be bumping this** (...just messin')

InSainn
Quick question. When you begin your windup and you pressing and HOLDING the button until it gets to the end of the meter? Or are you just pressing and releasing. A quick press and release should only be reserved for 3-0, 3-1 type situations when you gotta get it over the plate, any other time you should be holding the button until it reaches the red at the end of the meter... lyon810
So to answer two replies... I checked out Lackey's fastball velocity and its a 91 and Weaver's is an 88. Then I played an exhibition game in which I used lackey for two innings and his fastball consistently clocked in at 91 with a full pitching meter. This was 3-4 mph faster than in my dynasty. Using Jered for the next two innings, he actually pitched 1 mph slower than in my dynasty at 88 mph. Little to no difference. So my question is why has Lackey's, along with a small handful of my other pitchers lost so much velocity? Is there anything in the mod or game that can attribute to this? lyon810
If all they get from steroids is an additional 3 mph, is it even really worth it.

InSainn
You could also try adjusting your pitch speed slider...

Gordo
You could also try adjusting your pitch speed slider... Pitch speed slider only affects the relative look of the ball going to the plate, not the actual speed of the pitch itself.
