Totte
Don't know if you guys have seen the NBC Circling the Bases blog today but it mentions the RAR-stat which I've never heard of before and it seems like a good fantasy tool in my eyes. Anyone know where I can find a RAR-list of each team so far this year? http://bases.newsvine.com/_news/2009/06/01...category=sports
angryrat
Baseball Prospectus calls this VORP. (Value Over Replacement Player). While I have been unable to find you an answer to your actual question, knowing this might help in searching. EDIT: Got it..... http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statisti....php?cid=204031

CircleChange11
It's a good stat to use in order to avoid over paying for a player just because they are a veteran. It's another stat that I think supports playing your young prospects at the MLB level instead of overpaying a veteran to have marginally better production. For franchise players, looking at one's RAR/VORP history is a good strategy of looking for hidden value players ... especially in an AL or NL only league.
