CircleChange11
as a pinch runner, stealing a bag and scoring from 2nd on a single. I'm doing the same thing in DBacks franchise with Eric Byrnes. At least you're not paying Pierre $11M a year. Be interesting to see how our franchises correspond, with both of our teams likely battling each other for the division crown, and possibly the wild card. LA beat me 2 outta 3 at Chase (I still like to call it BOB) in the opening week. Wolf was a strike machine, and Broxton brings it.
bob44
Dodgers bats come alive in Texas! 11 runs, their most in a game this year! The Rangers were also hitting the ball, matching LA with 14, but the Dodgers make their hits count. Russell Martin has a big game at the plate. Kuroda improves to a very impressive 8-2 with a 2.22 era!
JoeRudi26
Way to hit the ball, bob, looks like they came in clumps, 4 in the 2nd, 3 in the 4th, and another 3 in the 7th. Looks like your offense is starting to really come around.
CircleChange11
Nothing heals offense like Rangers pitching. You gotta be slaivating for the rest of the games in this series.
bob44
This one was a pitching duel to start. In the 6th with it tied at 2-2 Manny singles following a Hudson double, but O-dawg gets tagged out at home! On to the 7th, still 2-2 Matt Kemp comes up with a huge 2-run homer to put LA up 4-2. Dodgers add a couple insurance runs and go up 6-2. Bottom of the 9th, LA tries to give Broxton the day off, but Belisario gives up 2 doubles on 2 pitches and Broxton is forced to come out and save the game once again. bob44
Looks like your offense is starting to really come around. It's definitely getting better lately. Most of the season I was struggling to score 3 runs. Nothing heals offense like Rangers pitching. You gotta be slaivating for the rest of the games in this series. LOL Ya, so far....so good. 2 games = 17 runs & 2 wins.
bob44
This was a tough loss for the Dodgers. #1 The Dodgers in the 4th get a single from Loney, Ethier comes around to score from 2nd base, he is clearly not tagged, and they call him out! Joe Torre argues the call with the home plate umpire, and surprisingly is not thrown out of the game. #2 with a 3-2 lead in the 6th, the evil Andruw Jones hits a 2-run homer to put Texas up 4-3. This is horrible because LA is paying Jones salary to hit a homer against them and lose the game.

bob44
The Dodgers get the comeback victory tonight after trailing 5-3 in the 7th. LA scores 2 in the 7th and 1 in the 8th, then Big Brox shuts it down in the 9th. Out of Oaklands 8 hits, 5 were for extra bases. (1 double, 1 triple and 3 homers!) Out of the Dodgers 14 hits, 13 were singles! They had a lone extra base hit when pinch hitter Mark Loretta blooped a ground rule double down the 1st base line. The A's were very frustrated with this tough loss.

CircleChange11
Hey Bob, you have a really good dyansty, I was wondering, how doyou make a picture bigger? Here's a pic: Could you tell me? [1] You've asked this in a few threads. Next time use the PM feature, if you have a non-franchise question for a particular person. [2] Use a photo editor to resize your image. Your image is something like 2000x1000 which is very large, and is going to be reduced drastically when you post it in this forum. You'll notice that most of the images that "appear large" when presented in the threads are only 800x90o images, only about half of the size of the image you are trying to post ... so they "appear larger" because they don't get "reduced by 96%". Use an editor to resize your image to something like 800x700, and it will "appear" large when you post the image. Sorry, bob.
bob44
The Dodgers have now taken the first 2 games from the struggling Athletics. Billingsley goes 8 solid innings for his 4th win of the year. Broxton gets his 21st save of the season on only 4 pitches in the 9th! Matt Kemp puts LA up 3-1 in the 4th inning on a solo shot (his 10th of the year) that just barely gets over Matt Holidays glove in the left field corner. bob44
The Dodgers complete the 3 game sweep of the Oakland A's! Kuroda was fantastic once again. He now ups his record to 9-2 and lowers his era to 2.04! CY Young possibly ? LA had a 3-0 lead when Kuroda departed for setup man Troncoso in the 8th. He struggled badly, giving up 1 run on 4 hits. It could have been worse, with the game at 3-1 the A's had runners at 1st and 2nd, 2 outs. Holliday gets a base hit to right field and Ethier throws out Orlando Cabrera at home to end the inning! It could have been bases loaded for Giambi. Broxton gets another quick and easy save against Oakland, this time only 6 pitches.

bob44
Kuroda is looking good, bob.. Sorry I swept your A's. I'm just on a roll right now. Ya, Kuroda is stupid good! Remember he was 1 out away from a perfect game against the Giants earlier this year too.

bob44
Dodgers get destroyed in the 1st game of the freeway series. Randy Wolf probably should of been taken out early, but the Dodgers let him take one for the team, ouch. LA gets 2 runs in the 9th, but it was 12-0 to start the inning. At least they didn't get shutout. Torii Hunter got the Angels off to a good start with his 2-run homer in the 1st to make it 3-0.
bob44
The Dodgers have a much better game today. They had a comfortable lead in the 8th of 5-1, but Ramon Trancoso made it interesting as the Angels pulled to within 2 at 5-3 with runners at 1st & 3rd with 2 outs. Broxton was warming up for a possible 4 out save, but luckily Troncoso comes through with a strike out of Howie Kendrick.
