bob44
Andre Ethier played well today, but it wasn't enough to stop the Dodgers from losing their 4th game in a row.
bob44
Matt Kemp dives for the ball, misses it and it rolls to the wall. Ramirez gets to it, but its to late, as Michael Bourn scores on the inside the park homerun to put the Astros up 3-2 in the 7th. 5th loss in a row for LA. bob44
Casey Blake connects for his first homer of the season in the top of the 7th to give LA a little insurance at 5-3. The Dodgers beat the 1st place Rockies to stop their 6 game losing streak and pull within 5 games of 1st place.
bob44
The Last time Jonathan Broxton faced the Rockies he was in the same situation, up 3-0 in the 9th. He blew the last game, this time he gets the job done!
Maestro23
Good to see JB redeem himself. Gotta forget about that last outing, and move on. ^_^
JoeRudi26
Way to rebound with Broxton, bob. He was one of the most difficult pitchers to hit that I can remember facing.
bob44
Clayton Kershaw pitches a fantastic game, but its spoiled from the usually realiable Belisario blowing the 3-0 lead in the 8th. Dodgers get the go ahead run in the 11th when Brad Ausmus gets his first hit of the year and drives in Hudson from 2nd base. The Dodgers are all smiles after surprising the 1st place Rockies by sweeping them on their home turf. Revenge is sweet!

bob44
LA gets 3 solo shots in the 4th inning (Manny, Loney & Kemp) but the MVP of the game was Eric Stults! The pitcher had an awesome complete game shutout and also went 3 for 4 at the plate! LA is now 4-0 against their hated rivals this year. Ramirez admires his 5th homer of the season..... bob44
James Loney has his first big game of the year! He helps the Dodgers to their 5th win in a row following a 6 game losing streak.
JoeRudi26
Looks like Billingsly made quick work of it, throwing a 57 pitch complete game. They must have been swinging often and early. Congrats on the winning streak bob, I see you finally got over the .500 mark. This should at least help considering the tight race you have going in the West. bob44
Casey Blake got the day off as he's been struggling batting only .169. He does come in though to pinch hit in the 8th with the bases loaded hoping to get a spark from him, seeing all those runners on base. Blake comes through with the 2 run single up the middle. Those insurance runs help the Dodgers to their 6th straight win after losing 6 in a row. LA is 6-0 vs. the hated Giants this year!

bob44
Randy Wolf pitched well, but gets into some trouble in the 6th when the Padres load the bases. Joe Torre decides to pull Wolf and bring in Belisario, who comes in and strikes out Luis Rodriguez to get out of the jam! LA wins their 7th in a row! GoRedSox34
Wow, seems like every series you either sweep or get swept. You've got quite the streaky team. Good luck for the month of May, I really enjoy following this dynasty.
