Patrick1609
Can this be changed?
Yankee4Life
I think this is based on the record of the team. I also think this can be edited too. Probably in LocLook. I remember when the 08 mod was first released, those guys edited a lot of things in the game. I bet somehow this can be done, but this is just a guess. MarkB
Yes. Get better players. Alternatively, don't both with it. It's wildly inaccurate.
Yankee4Life
Yeah, what Mark said. Ignore what I said.
rookie_rick
I think it has something to do with the stats of the team and the players from the previous season.
Patrick1609
Ok, I was just asking because of the NCAA 09 Mod we're currently working on
MarkB
Wait...did you mean can the rank be changed, as in can it go from better to worse, or did you mean can the graphic be changed?
Patrick1609
I meant the rank. for example: We'll replace the Diamondbacks with the Texas Longhorns. So it would be cool to have RANK: 2nd (#2 team in the nation) there.
emath2432
It's ratings based. If the team is the second best team, it will be the number 2 ranked team. As a teams players ratings change, so does the overall ranking. I am not sure how they decide how the ratings are affected though. At one point I had the number two (call them team B ) and number 3 (call them team c) ranked teams flip spots, even though neither team had been changed. As best as I can tell, one team fell from 2nd (team B ) in pitching to 3rd (while editing a 3rd different team, call them team d), and it caused the other team (team c) (who's pitching was number 1) to leap frog them in over all ratings. Hope that made sense. Now, to answer the question I think you were really asking... No, I don't think you can manually change it. Just edit ratings. MarkB
Yep, in that case, it's ratings based, as emath said.
Yankee4Life
Yep, in that case, it's ratings based, as emath said. And that means once again I was wrong. Man, I am good!
