Mathew
I hear a lot of talk around of people talking about how MVP is dead and all they will play now is 2k9. I figured I would make a thread for everyone to come and post about the best MVP moments. The ones you had most fun doing overall. It can be anything dyanasty, exhibition, owner, doesnt matter. I'm interested to read everyones input on this.
MilkmanAnt
I hear a lot of talk around of people talking about how MVP is dead and all they will play now is 2k9. That was exactly three months ago, lol. I've had many on PS2, but PC put that to rest. On of my dynasty games with the Pirates, I was down 2-1 vs. the Marlins @PNC, bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, nobody on, and young Shelby Ford came up and pulled a solo to left, just over the wall! After viewing all the replays, Jack Wilson came up and the next pitch, he hit the walk-off just inside the foul poul in left! Won 3-2. It was beautiful! rookie_rick
My best MVP moment is ever continuing. It is my Dynasty. This is the only game that i have been able to complete a season on and had the urge to continue for at least another season.

I highly appreciate the guys here that make it possible. I've played 47 games since May 2nd!

I've played 47 games since May 2nd! That is a lot of games in just over a month. The great thing about this game is that despite the volume of games played in that small period of time, it still leaves you wanting more. I completed my first full season in less than 6 months. I started on the 29th of July and finished my first season on the 17th of December.
Yankee4Life
Nice idea for a thread but for me I don't know if I can pick just one favorite moment. I'll get back to this thread when I think about it more.
Sean O
I was playing at the old Classic Yankee Stadium, in one of my first games on MVP difficulty, between my '55 Dodgers and a '50s Yankees team. I was down 2-0 for the first 6 innings, and I could barely touch Whitey Ford. Then I took a walk and got a single, so there were 2 on, 2 outs, and Campanella at the plate. Ford gave me an inside pitch, and Campy hit a laser shot that literally did not get higher than 12' off the ground, about 2' over the LF wall. Ended up winning 3-2, but that crazy line drive has always stuck with me. the left fielder would've been able to catch it easily if it were just hit slower, since it was such a short shot, but he simply couldn't make it in time. rookie_rick
Thinking about it more. I think the best moment overall is when i won Game 7 of the ALCS against the Rangers after being 3-1 down in the series. I ended up winning the game in the tenth inning after nearly losing the game on multiple occasions.
yanksjames14
i would agree that mvp is the only game that i can play every game i dynasty it never gets old.as for my best moment it was when i threw my first perfect game. i threw it with barry zito way back in 2005. i felt like i was king of the world that day

Mathew
I've yet to have achived a perfect game. The longest i've gone is mid 7th.
rookie_rick
I have thrown a couple but they were meaningless. I have never thrown one in a game that actually counted and that is on a hard difficulty.

Back in my '07 Cubbie dynasty, I had a perfect game with Zambrano that was broke up in the 9th with 1 out. A little bloop single by none other than Prince Albert. Needless to say, I was not very pleasant to be around for a couple of days. :aggressive:

Maestro23
Sorry but because Albert broke it up. I can't feel sorry for you. Albert is my favourite ball player. It's all good RR. You seem to be one of the few good Cardinals'/Pujols fans I know. *I like Pujols too, he just plays for the wrong team. ^_^

Haha, well i don't really like the Cardinals, just like you, Pujols plays for the wrong team. It is a shame he is so loyal and signed such a long contract. Boston could do with Pujols. He also deserves to be winning WS year in, year out.
JoeRudi26
I guess my MVP moment would be when I won the World Series with the Cubbies in 2007. Over the course of 4 years, the only other thing that sticks out is a one hitter I threw with Jason Marquis. Other than that, too many really good games to count. ^_^

redsox
Definitely had a lot of great moments (will list a specific few later on), but one of the most entertaining aspects was being able to present a dynasty along side the king of dynasty himself, JoeRudi26. St. Louis got Albert at a bargain basement price considering what he has done, and what others around the league are making, but with numbers less than his. JoeRudi26
Was that during your Cubbies Dynasty? Honestly, I don't remember if it was or not. I know I played some exhibition games, and actually started a 2008 season with them, but I can't remember exactly when it was. If it was, I still have the boxscore (2007) on a CD somewhere. HFLR
Back in 2005 I pitched a perfect game with Livan Hernandez against the Phillies in CBP, another great moment was when I came back when losing 7-2 in the 9th inning with Obregón in MVP Caribe against Caracas in the first game of the Serie del Caribe final, I won the series on 6 games. I can't believe that he was taken in the 13th round of the draft as well. He should have gone #1. Who knows what the scouts saw before the draft. They should of all been fired. Linked to Albert Pujols. Another great moment was when i did a fantasy draft and had Albert Pujols wearing a Red Sox uniform. Good times.
