CircleChange11
Here's what I am talking about with "Modern Classics". Take an old jersey style and apply modern logos and jersey scripts ... and/or ... take a modern style (such as Houstons BUrnt Orange) and apply a old color scheme (Houston's orange and navy) ... to get something unique and attractive. Here's a sample. I should be able to get these made quickly, as I have all the different styles as layers on a template. I'll release teams as I complete them. I used the 22 Cardinals style ... pinstripes, with the away "cream/grey" color, and the 3 stripe hat. I applied the moden "Birds and Bat" script, but colored it a more blood red color to go with the 1920's color scheme. I added the modern StL to the hat, same blood red scheme, and I colored the numbers/letter blood red, and made the trim "cream" instead of blue. I'm usually pretty self-critical, but I think these are beautiful. [Thanks to 2k for making Ludwick look like a zombie vampire with no pupils.] The idea that got me going was this concept uni I made (below). I thought "Hey that looks like the 80s style jersey on current uniform (button front, belt, long pants, etc), and then I started thinking about all the combos I could make (70s Houston rainbow jersey with the burnt orange, grey, etc stripes ... actually HighHeat32 made a concept jersey for MVP something like this. THen I thought about the Browns and Oriolies, Nats and Expos, Modern Padres script on the poop and mustard jerseys -- don't laugh, I've changed diapers that looked like a retro padres jersey --, Brewers Navy and Gold schemes on the retro jerseys, Brewers blue and yellow on the modern script/jersy <-- Actually I already made these as a test). Oops. Credit to DonSPA for the striped hat. I was unable to use his complete hat since we use different programs, but I was able to pull te stripes from his hat and put it on a red Cardinals hat that I edited. THanks Don! I don't know how many times I heard " 11 to 0" (Game 7 85 World Series KC 11, StL 0) and the crowd chanted "Get Over It" during the 7th inning stretch when they showed Don Dekinger's bad call in Game 6 on the jumbotron. Fun. Fun. Home Whites Away Powder Blues I need to change the belt to red, then this set is done. Modern Classics - Stan Musial Edition - 40's/Current Hybrid (I own this hat ... it rokks) Home Whites (tinted cream for the old style) Away Grays Dammit. Red Belt! Red Belt! Credit to Don, I grabbed the sleeve stripe/border from his Brooklyn jersey and changed it to red. Modern Classics - Rogers Hornsby Edition - 20s/Current Hybrid Home Whites (Cream tint again) Away Grays Need to remove the red pant stripe ... stupid photoshop layers. Next Up ... THe Cubs (Playing against them in my current franchise) - [1] 1927-1930 Style (Home & Away) [2] 1941 Style (Home and Away) [3] 1984 Blue Top Home & 1978 Powder Blue (White Pinstripes) Away Style. THe Tigers (My other Franchise Team) [1] 1901 Style (Red and Black - Home & Away) [2] 1927 Style (Orange and Navy - Home & Away) [3] 1984 Style (Home and Away, The Home jerseys are already done, Har Har) The Rangers (My opponent as Tigers) [1] 1962 Senators Style (Blue as Dominant Color) [2] 1970 Senators Style (Red as Dominant Color) [3] 1976-82 Style (More Powder Blue!) redsox
Really nice job on those uniforms. My favorites are the 80s and 40s home design. 2K just did a bad job with the uniforms; especially with the hat logos that were larger than a damn meteor. FOr example, instead of Cleveland being Navy and Red, they appear to be faded blue and violet. MLB unis are bright and colorful/bold You especially notice this on a sunny day at the game, when the home team is in their bright whites.
CircleChange11
Modern Classics - The Chicago Cubs Modern Classics - Hack Wilson Edition - 1930s HOme and Away Home Away Modern Classics - Gabby Harnett Edition - 1940s Home and Away Home I actually frapped the wrong image. THis jersey should be a vest (same uni) with blue sleeves. Away I might also add the red underline underneath the jersey script. Modern Classics - Bill Buckner Edition - 1978 Away and 1984 Away 1978 Away I don;t really like the white pinstripes (hard to make too), I may just lose em and call it the 77 away jersey. 1984 Away I need to go through each jersey and make sure that the reds and blues are the same shade. Either that or make the older jerseys a little darker red, and the more recent jerseys a brighter red ... for accuracy. I'll also add the cubs circle logo to the front hip of the pants to match the bump/texture image. I'll likely make 4 team sets and then go back and make the minor tweaks. It takes as long to import the images into the editor, frap the images, post the previews, etc as it does to actually make the jerseys (about an hour). I' gonna go play the last game of my cards-cubs series and then lights out.

CircleChange11
1906 Tigers Away jersey should have the Old English D on the jersey instead of the cursive script. Sometimes Det uses the 'Detroit' script on both jerseys, sometimes the 'D', and sometime 'D' for home, 'Detroit' for road. I'll fix it.
Shlobotnik
Wow- Impressive design work! You managed to update without losing the aethstetic value- no mean feat. Will you include any defunct teams (Browns, Bees, Senators, etc.)?

SeveredSoulX
These uniforms are great CC - how do you add the stitching to the uniforms for the logos though? I asked Don how he edited the green files and he said he just used a generic, so I want to know how you did it as well...

I asked Don how he edited the green files and he said he just used a generic, so I want to know how you did it as well... I don't know how to edit the dds/bump (green) images, so I just used the one's that came with the game (usually just the home and away). That's part of the reason for the "Modern Classics" limitation, I didn't know how to edit the dds/green texture image. It's takes quite a bit of skill an da couple of programs. If I could make those images, I would make only concept uniforms. As it turned out, the Modern Classic thing was kind of cool (IMO).
