What Uniform Templates Should I Use?

I'm just wondering what uniform templates you guys use for your uni mods. I'm thinking about getting into uniform modding, but I don't want to use thespungo's uni templates because then I'd be restricted to only uploading the mods to EAMods.

Thanks.

there are a couple good ones on the site, forgot there names at the moment. if your use to psd files and know how do throws, you could even combine the parts you like the templates you find to create one that fits your style and liking. then add elements as you like, which is what i've done. as for the spoung, don't worry about it, as the base of his is actually all over the place and there nothing really dictently different you cant do. all it appears he did, as it appears to me was add some noise and texture to his, nothing that anyone with a little bit time and experience with photoshop can't do.

Haha, funny photo, Y4L.

Anyways, no, DJ, I don't have a PayPal, so I don't expect to be charging anything for my mods. I'm not even sure if it's legal to charge for mods, so I have no intentions of doing that. I may eventually set up a PayPal account just for donations, though.

What is an uniform template without the texture? It's not as easy as you make it sound. The amount of time and effort went into creating those templates is huge. Creating uniforms is not hard (time consuming maybe) but to design the templates yourself definitely takes a lot of time, effort and intricate knowledge.

I second this. There's also a reason why spungo's unis look different than most others ... different meaning "a lot better".

It's the details, particularly the details in the template that make the difference.

Coloring the jersey and slapping a script on it is not difficult at all.

Putting it altogether so that it looks "real" is where the difference is made.

I would suggest the user try and make their own templates that look as good as Spungo's and then they'd likely understand why he is protective of his creation.

your missing my point. i didnt say where are not hard, but i never said delete texturesor delete anything, what i said was that is there are some good ones here, but you could also combine templates, and add small items from uniforms you like to create a set to your liking if you so inclined to and i wouldnt worry about something like spungo's stuff, becuse is base are comnon, its what did on top of that makes his, his. my work has never been based on anyone template entirely, and has i've more resenctly, i had a couple new things into my work, so my templates i use now, are my templates, with its roots its template on the site. the difference is between modders is style they uniforms they may like, different additions to change the uniforms look, like using a noise layer for hats, numbers, etc.

the bottom line do what you like and if you like that, offer it up, you'll find something that yours, and that is what makes each his own, his what he finishes with.

You made it sound like any Tom, Dick, and Harry could replicate his templates. I have spent a lot of time designing uniforms and even I can't get the realism that his uniforms generate. You can mix and match all you want but in the end, creating new templates is not an easy task as just "adding some noise and texture".

I was just messing with you anyway,...didn't mean anything by it.

As for McColl, I don't think he is disrespecting thespungo's uniforms, he is just trying to say that with a lot of effort, anyone can make a nice jersey. For sure, thespungo's are top notch, but I have seen some beautiful work from other people.

yes ty. I'm actually encouraging it, but yes giving some path i've taken, so has something to work with, and ideas, partly so he doesn't worry to much about the template or templates he uses.
