Did you have Sean Gallagher in your rotation?

If you did i feel really sorry for you because if you haven't seen, he is the PTBNL in the Hairston trade.

Anyone that's been following, I urge you to check out VSN.

If you're into following or creating dynasties/seasons/franchises, there's something for about every sport and lots of activity to interact with during your season.  As I said, there's about every sport you can imagine, and I'll be looking forward to posting a college basketball season come the fall.

2009 ALL-STAR GAME - St. LOUIS, MO.

*N.L. vs A.L.*

*The All-Star Game in my dynasty will be simmed.  As you can see, the game is set up to be played in the A.L. with the DH, but I've still done the template with a St. Louis scheme just to simply honor where the game is played in real life, and just to present who made the Starting Lineups.  I'll post the subs and pitchers later this evening, and a recap of the game in general*

Looks good Jay. Looking forward to the results.

I'm going to sim the All-Star as as well, and present it just like all my other games.

I agree, I play 160+ games manually as it is, I usually sit back with a cold one and watch in on the PC.  I'm taking the day off.  :)

Brandon Wood is having one great year.

Those two line ups look a lot more evenly matched compared to my All Star teams.

I couldn't believe Brandon Wood's numbers when I saw them.  I had barely even scanned who was in the running for the ASG as it was.  Wow, 20 dingers.

I've never even heard of this guy? :o I just looked him up, has had pretty good #'s in AAA.

CC broke it down pretty nicely:  (Brandon Wood MVP)

After seeing that,  I looked up Wood's ratings in my franchise since JR26 and I use the same rosters. Here's his ratings ...

vLHP - Pow (79) - Con (63) - Spd (79)

vRHP - Pow (74) - Con (64) - Spd (79)

In my franchise, he is starting at 3B over Figgins, and batting .234 with 3 HRs and 4RBIs.

What I am guessing has happened is the roster maker (kg) used the AAA batting converter/predictor tool to get Wood's ratings.

Over 3 partial season in MLB, Wood is a .197 hitter with 7 Hrs is 198 ABs.

In AAA, he has hit 71 HRs in about 1000 ABs over the past 3 seasons.

Despite being a 1st round pick in 2003, Wood is developing into the "Standard-Issue 4A Player" ... dominant in the minors, terrible in MLB.

This has compelled me to go through each team's rosters and make some adjustments where needed. At this point, Wood is a far cry from the 4 or 5 star prospect he was once anticipated to be.

Wood definitely sticks out like a sore thumb on those rosters, as does Hafner at 1B. He's a DH if there ever was one. Teix or Pouk-i-lis should be in that spot. Hafner hasn't played 1B since 07, and even then it was only for 11 games, presumably all Interleague games at NL parks.

Right off the top of my head, I'm guessing Ryan Howard's "vLHP" stats need addressed as games always seem to over-rank him against lefties. In MLB, he's a career .224 hitter against LHP, .305 vRHP, and he strikes out once every 2.5 ABs vLHP, as compared to 1 out of 4 AB vRHP.
