xcrunner4623
Long time, no see JR. Just wanted to say this dynasty adds a bright spot into my day when I need it. Oh and Matt Holliday just was traded. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4353256
JoeRudi26
Thanks x. Yeah, no surprise there, it was just a matter of where he would wind up. Good for Holliday, hopefully he does well. BTW - I've actually won 4 of my last 5, and Holliday has been slumping most of July. Hairston has done well with what little playing time he's had. Looks like he's gonna get a lot more. JoeRudi26
Holy cow, dude. This is amazing. Can't wait for an update! Thanks man, I have been extremely busy for the past week or so, but I have been getting my games played. I've won 4 in a row (just swept the Yankees) and 6 of my last 7 which puts me at 48-50, just one game out of a very weak A.L. West. Things are looking much brighter than they did a month ago. Hopefully I can get some updates coming soon.
Mathew
What would you say outside of playing the games is the most time consuming part of your presentation?
JoeRudi26
What would you say outside of playing the games is the most time consuming part of your presentation? Inputting the stats into the starting lineup probably takes the longest. The rest of the updates take maybe 20 minutes now that the templates are already made. Mathew
JULY 17th STANDINGS I'll go ahead and make the prediction that the A's will get the division this year. 5Gb with plenty of time left in the season. I'm really looking forward to it. It's always interesting to see how things differ from this season in real life.
JoeRudi26
It is very possible, this has been probably the worst team I've ever played with, but the whole division is awful. Even at this point, anything looks possible. I'm up to date with my schedule, but I'm going to try and get everything updated here within the next few days. Thanks for the input, NP. rookie_rick
The Red Sox look in good position for the Wild Card in the AL The NL Wild Card could become just as tight as it was in your Cubs Dynasty. I am going to play some MVP games later this week despite still being 8/9 games ahead in the schedule. I am looking forward to playing without Manny and his 25 home runs in the middle of the line up. I'm glad that losing Holliday hasn't hurt you plus Brett Wallace will give you a decent replacement for Chavez if he starts to struggle and requires a few games off. rolliefingers08
As much as I knew he was gone, I was hoping the day wouldn't come so that I'd have to decide if I want to make the trade to create a gaping hole in my MVP lineup. Good luck on that one.
JoeRudi26
As much as I knew he was gone, I was hoping the day wouldn't come so that I'd have to decide if I want to make the trade to create a gaping hole in my MVP lineup. Good luck on that one. I know man, I felt the same way. It's been looming with me the entire first half of the season, and as tough as it's been anyway, losing Holliday was beginning to feel like the last "hit" this team could take, especially when he's been the main thrust of the offense. BUT.. I've been through things like this before, and I know that the "obvious" usually doesn't write the story by the time September rolls around. I'll post stats later, but I've got Hairston in LF now, and he's pounding the ball. I get Crosby and Landon Powell back some time next month, so that's at least something I can look forward to while I try to hang on in this thin division. Either way, we all knew it was coming, and that's really the main reason why I try to play with accurate rosters. It's a better challenge when issues like this are basically out of my hands, and victory is much sweeter when the adjustments I've had to make actually pan out. Mathew
JOE! you presentation always amazes me with constant updates to them. I love the inside the numbers feature really goes in depth into your dynasty. Any chance you can get a site going for it using MVP savreader? Was Giambi brought up to help with power after the Holliday trade?
JoeRudi26
Thanks NP, actually I've been busy with work and haven't been able to update with much consistency. As far as Giambi and Garciaparra, I brought them up right before Holliday was traded, I was trying to put some meat into the lineup just for the sole purpose of putting runs on the board quick. Sorry, but I'm not really sure what you mean by a site for the MVP SavReader.

Mathew
Sorry, but I'm not really sure what you mean by a site for the MVP SavReader. It's something I'm still working on. The host I have is super slow but as of right now I got almost all players MLB - A uploaded next is all the AAA-A teams. Also I have my boxscores to where they tie in so if you click a players name it goes to their profile. Site Boxscore
