JoeRudi26
Thanks guys. I really didn't take much time on it, but it was one I wanted to try since I saw it about a month ago. I took a lot of short cuts on this one, maybe now that I have it I'll clean it up a bit for later use. But man, what a game. I scored the 2 runs in the first inning, Papi hit a solo shot in the 4th and it was all pitching from there. Smoltz was pretty tough.
JoeRudi26
I found of few old templates that I think I'll renovate and bring back to life with some "fresh paint". The KZone wasn't used much, but the League Leaders board and the Dynasty Watch board both have some pretty relevant information, especially as the season is winding down. JoeRudi26
Here's ^^^ a somewhat toned down version from all the bright red. Instead of the R|H|E box only, I may add the complete line score and add on a couple of places for some more info. Also, here's a quick/mini version of the Baseball Tonight graphic vvv which I'll be using when updating a series only. Any suggestions, let me know. JoeRudi26
Funny how your on a role since trading Holliday, lets keep it going JR I know, man, I can't believe how calm things have been against New York and Boston. I had lost 6 or 7 straight before the Yankee's series, and I figured it was going to get a whole lot worse. As long as Hairston plays solid and I can take a series at a time, I may be in this thing come October.
CircleChange11
But man, what a game. I scored the 2 runs in the first inning, Papi hit a solo shot in the 4th and it was all pitching from there. Smoltz was pretty tough. Funny, you mention that. I was browsing through rosters the other day and noticed Smoltz was the Red Sox 2nd highest rated pitcher (behind Beckett, but better than Dice-K and Lester). I'm waiting for the roster update to play some more games and/or doing more of my own tweaks. Smoltz has an 89 Stamina and many pitches rated in the high 80s. He hasn't been that for quite some years, IMO. Pedro, Sheets, El Duque, Bonderman, etc are in the 'same boat'. I need to check and make sure I am using the latest version of the roster. JoeRudi26
Lucky he pitched that one last game because the result could have been very different with another pitcher on the mound. Maybe, maybe not. The last week or so I've won with Mazzaro (2-3), Williams (3-3), and Gio Gonzalez (4-0), so there really seems to be no rhyme or reason on the mound, I've just been hitting the ball well lately. I haven't had anything remotely close to an "Ace" all year, and Gallagher certainly wasn't even close. That said, I was happy to get the win with him on his last day in Oakland, so at least I squeezed that out of him. All said and done though, I've got a handful of guys at two levels that have won 4 or 5 games, so losing Gallagher will hardly be noticeable. BTW, I didn't mention this in the thread, but Holliday hit his 22nd homerun of the season on his last day in an A's uni, so maybe there's something to be said about leaving this team. ^_^

Now that the trade deadline is over you can hopefully get some kind of prospects to produce. Sorry about all that you have had to trade away. Thanks for the vote of confidence, I do appreciate it. I actually should have given up by now, and just played my games day to day just for the fun of it, but by some stroke of luck this whole division is awful, and everyone has lost as much as I have. I'm going to keep plugging along with what I have, and try to pull out as many wins as possible. Unless some other game company puts out a PC baseball game that can come close to competing with MVP's gameplay, I'm going to continue this season (A's) next year just to see how well I can improve the team. Should be fun. ^_^
