DylanBradbury
Recently whenever I start my computer, I'm unable to right-click on a file or folder. When I do it, stalls with the spinning hourglass cursor. I've found the only workaround is for me to open Task Manager, end the explorer.exe process, and then open a new explorer.exe process. I've checked for viruses (Avira AntiVir Personal) and spyware (PC Tools Spyware Doctor) and they've all come up clean. I've also tried CCleaner, which didn't help. As well, someone mentioned that it might have to do with a bad right-click option. So I used ShellExView, and tried disabling, restarting, checking each right-click command. The result was the same, the problem still existed. My operating system is Windows XP SP3. If anyone has any idea, please enlighten me. Thanks in advance folks. tywiggins
I had a similar problem after I used Extractor: http://www.volny.cz/nova-software/extractor/index.html If you've used this program, run it again, and uncheck "Integrate to system" Besides that, my advice is to either do a system restore from before you started having this problems, or reinstall windows. Thanks ty, unfortunately I've never used Extractor. I can't seem to find a system restore that fixes the problem. Thanks so much ty.
patsen
There's likely a program that did something similar, though. I had the same thing in mind. Have you installed something else lately?
DylanBradbury
No, the last thing I installed, besides the programs listed above, was Firefox 3.0. Thanks for your help though Pat.

TyWiggins, thank you so much. I reinstalled XP's Service Pack 3, and it's back to normal again! You rock!
