big blue
Yesterday I downloaded the 1961, 1969 and 1978 Classic mods as per the tutorial. All seemed to be fine. HOWEVER when I created a Dynasty in each mod, the Dynasty Roster changed in each mod to the very same one. Play Now and Exibition mode rosters remained staus quo, but the Dynasty Rosters for all three were excatly the same. (1961) I created the Dynasty in the 1961 mod using the profile (RAY) and selected yes to use the Default Roster for Dynasty play. When I opened 1969 and 1978 Classic mods, (RAY) had already been selected as the active profile, though I had not pysically done so, and the Default Roster in the Dynasty modes were the 1961 Classic Default Roster. I dont have a clue what's happening......HELP!!!!
Jim825
Did you install the three mods in separate folders or all in the same one? What did you name your dynasty file? When you opened up dynasty mode with TC1969 and TC1978, did you select "New Dynasty" or did you select "Load Dynasty"? As far as your profile, the game always looks in the My Documents\MVP Baseball 2005 folder for the profile and if it finds one there, it uses that one. big blue
I installed the mods in three seperate folders. I named the Dynasty '61 Yankees'. When I opened the 1969 mod and prepared to create a dynasty there was already a Dynasty named '61 Yankees' loaded. I checked the 1978 mod and the '61 Yankee Dynasty' was loaded there as well. Should I have created a New Dynasty in 1969 & 1978 mods? Why did the different mods, loacted in different folders load the very same Dynasty into all three mods when it was created in just one? Learning, but baffled.
Jim825
All dynasty files are created in the same folder (My Documents \ MVP Baseball 2005). This is the same folder where your profile and controller configuration files are stored. They are not stored in the folder where you installed the particular mod. That is why when you run TC1969 and TC1978 mods, you see the TC1961 dynasty file. You do need to create new dynasty files for each of the mods and then when you restart the dynasty again in the future, you load the particular file you want to run. big blue
Bingo!, that worked. Thanks Jim for the quick response; all is now well in MVP land.......at least for the moment.
Jim825
Glad to hear it. Now remember that you need to make sure that you have things like injuries, computer initiated trades, etc. turned off so that your rosters don't get changed accidentally. These classic mods only include major league rosters. The minor league rosters are still the default minor league rosters that came with MVP2005.
