Call Ups/send Down

if your mlb roster isn't at its max size, how do you do a call from aaa, i always have to demote someone before i can do a call up?

You can go to the Call Up/Send Down option, and press the left stick down. I don't mean the down direction, but you actually have to click it like a button. Doing so will cycle through all affiliated teams. If your MLB team is not at max size, you should be able to promote a minor leaguer without having to swap with another. Hope this helps.
