shinderhizzle84
Hello. Please excuse me if I'm being rude. I decided it would be a fun idea to experiment with GIMP for my new dynasty in the hopes of replicating a format similar to my team's webiste, and I'm about to shoot myself, my entire family, but now before pouring a gallon of gasoline on my laptop, lighting it on fire, and throwing it into a gas refinery. Yes....I'm very, very, frustrated right now. Anyways, I've completely given up on making a fancy shmancy template. I downloaded tywiggins box score extractor, and read the tutorial over here about how to upload the box score extracted data, but I've got NO ******* IDEA HOW TO EXTRACT THE SCORE ITSELF!!! I've read through THE ENTIRE README and all I've found was this: To run BSEexpress without minimizing the game(This assumes that you have already extracted all of the files) 1. Right click on BSEexpress, and click "copy". 2. Right click on some empty spot in the folder, and click "Paste Shortcut". 3. Right click on "Shortcut to BSEexpress.exe", and click "Properties" 4. Click the "Shortcut" tab if it's not already open. 5. Click in the "Shortcut Key:" box. 6. Hold the Control key, and press the F12 key. Then release the control key. 7. Click in the "Run:" box. 8. Click "Minimized" 9. Click "OK" 10. Move the shortcut to your desktop(It doesn't seem to work unless it's on the desktop) 11. Now hold Control and press F12 to see if it worked. 12. If it works, you can now press Control F12 to make your boxscores without even minimizing the game. (If it doesn't work try a different shortcut key). However, as you can SEE, it says that it ASSUMES that I've already extracted all of the files. How the hell do I do that??? Thanks to whoever can help me with this stupid problem. MarkB
To extract the files, if they're in a .ZIP archive, just right click the file, click Extract All (or use a specific program, if you already have one), then run through the extraction wizard. But how do I even get them extracted from the game??? Is there a certain file path where box scores from every game is saved??? Like if I play a game in my Dynasty mode, how do I save the box scores?? I'm talking about starting from step 0, haha. Also, to everyone who read that awful first post, sorry...I gave myself time to cool off and now I feel much better :D
MarkB
You don't need to extract them from the game - that's what the program is for. It reads the program's memory, finds the boxscore data, then outputs it into a HTML file. You just need to run the program after you've completed the game. Well should the program be extracted into my MVP directory? And also, although I haven't played a game yet, whenever I try and run the program, it just flashes up for like half of a second before closing itself. When I play a game, should I run the extractor after I hit "Exit game" or while I'm still in the end-game pause screen, just before I quit the game for good? Thanks so much, once again. MarkB
As far as I know, you can extract it anywhere you want. It's worked fine for me - I think I had it in the root of my drive. The reason it just flashes up and goes away is because the first thing it does is check if the mvp2005.exe process is running. If it isn't, it has nothing to do, so just exits. Run the extractor when you're at the in-game boxscore screen. You can even run it after you've finished the game and are back in the main menu, but I run it at the summary screen. No problem. :)
