philthepat
This has been brought up before, im fairly sure, but its worth doing again. Which pitcher do you stuggle against the most. Who would you hate to face in game 7 of the world series in MVP? For me, for some reason, its Justin Duchscherer. Hes thrown many, many CGSOs against me to the point where Im seriously thinking about trading for the guy just so I never have to face him again! :D

DylanBradbury
Wakefield Same here! He messes up my timing. When I have to face Wakefield, I play the game in manager mode, until he's done.

CircleChange11
The guys I have the most trouble with are those that, for whatever reason, throw a changeup that is 15-18 mph slower than their FBs. (92mph FB, 75mpg CH). With hitter's eye off, and a high pitch speed, it's rediculous. Rob Dibble for the 1990 Reds is just outrageous. His velocity, movement, and delivery style are a wicked combination. Zack Grienke's curveball was always the hardest pitch to hit in earlier versions. On the other hand, I light up Randy Johnson. bigpapifan
I wouldn't say that a pitcher dominates me, but rather a type of pitch or even a delivery. Those looooooong wind-ups kill me. Seo, Halladay and others. I'm not very patient, so I usually strike-out with those deliveries and a good fastball/change-up combo. Also, A.J. Burnett is surprisingly wild but effective against me (when I'm playing with the Red Sox, of course). I just played a game where the line for Burnett was: 9 IP, 3 H, 10 BB, 7 K, 0 ER. - Those three hits were absolutely luck.
laroquece
oh boy....every time I face Halladay he kick my butt.... also last time I face Gil Meche he throw a perfect game...unbelievable
bigpapifan
How could I forget? Greinke! 95mph FB, mid 80s change-up and low 70s curve. Ha-ha, so unfair...

CircleChange11
I was just no-hit by Lincecum, and went 0-3 against him in my DBacks dynasty ... so, I guess that constitutes 'ownership'. I can;t decide which pitch is hardest to hit, his major heat, his awesome change, or his wicked deuce?
ChiSoxBoy
I have never beaten Johan Santana. In 2004 or 2005. I'm in my second year of a Marlins dynasty so, naturally, I play against him a lot. Not counting that dynasty, though, I'm probably 0-9 against him.
pedo
im on mvp 2k9 so this probably doesnt pertain to me but man for some reason i really hate brandon webb ...ive beaten him but out of the many times ive faced him the score settles at 4 dodgers...3 brandon webb.. ilovetohateyou
I can never hit Chad Bradford, that submarine windup always gets me. This. All the submarine/sidearm pitchers are tough for me to read, especially when I haven't been playing much recently. After having not faced one in a while, I hope to draw walks and am somewhat satisfied with not striking out. I'm much happier when it's a situation where the submariner/sidearmer is like the first guy they like to bring out after the starter, but the game situation dictates that they bring in the closer. Then I have a better shot. If it's a tie game or something and they leave him in there for extra innings, I probably lose and he'll probably go consecutive innings without baserunners. Also, last time I played with the Rockies in 07, Denker from the Giants would hit like 2 or 3 homers every series I faced them.
DadOfTwins
This. All the submarine/sidearm pitchers are tough for me to read, especially when I haven't been playing much recently. Yep, I'm right there with ya on the sub/side thing. Doesn't matter how well I'm doing, as soon as one of these guys is put in, may as well be game over. My only prayer is to either take enough pitches to wear the guy out & get a pitcher change out of the AI, or, sad as it sounds, get lucky & hit a sharp liner into the guys' leg, causing an injury. iansimcox
The way I'm playing at the moment - all of them. I started up a Baltimore franchise and have started off 2-9 with awful batting stats. Perhaps all-star was too high a level to start off. I'll see how it goes before posting it as a dynasty. I know they aren't meant to be a piece of cake but this one's ridiculous at the moment. superciuc
in every baseball game (MVP 2004, 2005 and MLB 2K10) i'd have to say Brandon Webb. I won just a couple of games against him. He struck me out 14 times in my Cubs dynasty!
Yankee4Life
Of all people, it is Orlando Pena of the 1964 Kansas City Athletics. You can find him in Total Classics Phase 10. This guy has no reason beating me - but he does. I have faced him five times and have a 1-4 record against him. The last game I played against him I actually won. It was a BSE game played last year. And right here is the link to the very first game that I played against Pena back in 2005. That is when Total Classics was in Phase 2. Pena shut me out in that game. DeuceBlades
Id have to say that in my experiences, Johan never gave me trouble, or has any other number 1's... Wakefield has given me fits the most, because he sets you up with alot of changeups, then he throws that stupid knuckle on you, and all you do is become a human air conditioner! lol
