DonSPa
sorry to say but ive run into a major snag in my roster update.I ran a seasoned sim and the game crashes.I even let the game choose the best roster setup. For some reason 2 teams class a inland 66ers and the tampa yankees both have an extra player both showing in game as FA pitcher #0.The game wont allow me to delete or edit or assign to any teams, when i do it crashes to desktop.I try thru tys roster editor and they dont show on the editor. When i try and set the lineups etc for both teams thru the editor then the editor crashes,i still have some work to do on some more teams and some in the freeagents list, but i dont want to do those until this problem gets solved first, so if anyone has any ideas to how to solve this appreciate it i cant release the roster until it runs without crashing

LoGatto
What version of the editor did you use? I have seen names get duplicated and and the issue you report with older versions of the editor. Do you have a back up of the roster? maybe try the newest version of the editor I believe 2.4, Hope you get it fixed and thanks for all your hard work, looking foward to it. tiedyed
Just wondering Don did you edit the the roster.iff or just the roster save file? Either way if you could post the file maybe one of us can help figure it out if we have it to mess with.

tiedyed
Maybe you have to have the roster.iff matching the roster save with all those changes. When tony3 released the roster with all the names changed he had both the .ros and the roster.iff. Just hope it can be figured out you have spent far to much time on this project. CircleChange11
damn thats a total burn...im not a modder or have no idea how this would work, i honestly wish there was something i could do to help...that really sucks...well if anyhthing i was wondering if u could change some dodger pitchers pitches for me...james mcdonald throws a 97 mph fastball in real life...in game it doesnt hit 90....ronald belisario throws the sickest 2 seam fb at 97 mph i ever seen ala brad lidge....and troncoso is a sinker ball groundout man non stop...wondering if they could be added some juice to their fastballs and sinkers for troncoso Here's the thing about pitcher's velocities ... Ubaldo Jiminez has the highest average fastball rating for the 09 season at 96mpg, Verlander is 2nd at 95mph. So, obviously, they are throwing fastballs that are both above and below that average. Now, how this plays in video games, is if you use their "top velocity" as their "fastball velocity" rating, then they end up throwing that velocity ALL the time, and it messes up reality quite a bit, b/c you have a ton of guys throwing 97mph all the time, when they don;t in real life. I prefer to use their average velocity or a couple of mph lower than their top velocity just for this reason. So, on 2k9, with the pitch meter/circle, one would want them to have to nail the meter/circle "perfectly" to throw 97mph ... but the problem is that it is far too easy to just that, and you get guys performing far above what they normally do just b/c of the ease of the pitching mechanism. Plus, there is also the factor of stadium radar guns being "loaded", and representing guys throwing a little faster than the actual speed. For example, I went to a Royals Diamondbacks game where Grienke, Scherzer, Rauch, and Farnsworth all pitched and none of them registered a fastball under 95mph ... which is likely not how it really went.
