cfcdw29
Hi, I've decided to restart MVP after some time (I know 2K9 is all the rage right now, but still), but for some reason MVP08 won't run. When I go to play a game, the loading bar goes up to about 30%, then the game freezes, saying that "The instruction at 0x004f4d12 could not be 'read'." I uninstalled both MVP08 and the original copy of MVP 2005 that I had on my computer and re-installed just MVP08, but now the game won't start, saying that I need to insert the correct CD. I'm using backups of my CD on Daemon Tools (I tried using the actual CDs too - the game starts, but I get the same error mentioned above when I go to play a game), and FWIW, when I installed the original 2005 version, I used a random CD-key off the Internet because my CD case for 2005 is god knows where. If this constitutes as something being "illegal", I'm sorry.
MarkB
Toward the top of the Support forum. Thread entitled "The Support Forum - Read This First". Try using a regular install and see if that works.
cfcdw29
Thanks for the reply. I searched the forums but couldn't find anyone reporting a problem the same as mine, and I didn't know who to contact because I hadn't installed any mods, and the game had worked fine on my old computer. When I run plain MVP 2005, the game works fine. It's just the MVP 08 mod that's causing the problems.
