Seven7
It's been a loooong time since I had to post any support issue here but here we go,nonetheless... I installed MagicJack and it automatically installs another drive letter as a CD ROM and also takes another drive letter for it's removable storage device. Let me bounce this off you. Here were my drive mappings beforehand: C:\ Hard Disk D:\ CD ROM E:\ Shortcut to My Documents directory that is stored on my Ext. Hard Drive (F:\) that holds only my .sav files F:\ External Hard Drive with MVP 09 loaded and mvp2005.exe installed on there, as well as my .sav files and I have had no problems with this setup. Installed MagicJack and it became this: C:\ Hard Disk *same D:\ CD ROM *same E:\ *deleted F:\ MagicJack USB Removable Storage Device (It took F:\ away from my Ext. Hard Drive because it was not turned on) G:\ When I turned on my Ext. Hard Drive it gave it G:\ now. H:\ MagicJack ghost CD ROM J:\ 17MB FAT partition for MagicJack I changed them to: C:\ Hard Disk D:\ CD ROM F:\ Ext. Hard Drive with MVP 09 installed with My Documents folder for the .sav files (I changed it back so I didn't have to change any shortcuts to anything and kept them F:\) J:\ MagicJack CD ROM K:\ MagicJack USB Removable Storage Device Ok, so I load the MVP disk in the CD ROM. Then I open the .exe on my F:\ProgramFiles\MVP folder as always (and by always I mean a few years of it working properly until now) and it takes me to the main screen. It also successfully loads all my profiles and dynasty and rosters, etc. Now, if I try to play a game or any side games or a mini game in my dynasty it goes to the loading screen with the status bar and begins to load them but immediately kicks me out and gives me the lovely error message "mvp2005.exe encounted an error and needs to close". I can go into a dynasty ok and move around until I try to do something that involves playing anything. Would the changing of drive mappings cause any problems when I try to run the same .exe and load the same .sav files on the same device I always had? Any ideas what else would cause this if it wasn't from the MagicJack install? For that matter, anyone on here use MagicJack and play MVP on the same PC? Oh, it also does not work if I have the MagicJack device unhooked and I'm running Windows XP Professional.
