While running a few errands through town this morning, I watched as two people got pulled over for speeding. It dawned on me that after 25+ years of driving, I've never had a speeding ticket in my life. Not that I haven't done it, I just haven't gotten caught. On the other hand, a close friend of mine has been ticketed for more than 5 that I know of.

How many do you have?

1 back in high school and 1 photo radar about a year ago. Ironically both came when I wasn't actually meaning to speed

When the seat belt law came into effect here in Indiana (late 80's, early 90's, don't remember), I was stopped for going 41 in a 35, lol. Ultimately, I got a no seat belt ticket which wound up costing me 5 dollars. This was happening all over town, they were looking for any reason to stop people so they could enforce the new law.

That's about as close as I've come to getting one.

I know man. I used to date a girl across the river in Illinois back when I was about 20 years old. I would stay at her house every night until about 2 in the morning, and have to be back to work in Indiana at 7 a.m. The trip was only about 20 miles, but I wouldn't doubt I came close to setting a couple of land/speed records during that time.

1 speeding ticket for me...and it was last year....31 in a 30. then a potential one in new york where I was given a seatbelt ticket, could have been given a ticket for 80 in a 55, apparently because I was courteous and truthful with the trooper, he just gave me the seatbelt ticket, man did I get lucky!
