Switching From Console To Pc Gaming

hey guys, ive been playing mvp 05 since it came out and would never play another baseball title. I love it so much that last spring, i manually updated the rosters team by team on my gamecube but this morning, I discovered that my little brother deleted the precious file. I am now caught in between whether I should repeat the manual process or buy the pc game (i found one for about $50) and download some mods from here and eamods. I want to get an opinion, hopefully from an admin. I have a few starter questions:

1. If i do decide the purchase the pc game, would a computer rookie (me) be able to download mvp 08, and some roster and uniform mods without much difficulty? as in, how hard is it to configure the game to 08 with some addition mods?

2. Is it worth spending the $50?

3. how would the quality be on an hp pavilion dv4t, 4 gb ram, 2.00 ghz processor, plenty of hd space (either a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce G 105M or Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M graphics card?)

thanks a lot!

1. Yes (If you can read Instructions, you should not have any problems.).

2. Yes

3. Both those sound like integrated video cards, but with your other specs you should have no problem running the MVP 08 mod as well as anything else on the site. If you are a big PC gamer though, I would look into getting a video card with its own dedicated memory.

1) Thwack your little brother in the head (just kidding)

2) Thwack yourself in the head for not making a backup (again, just kidding)

3) Get the game - with all the total conversion mods, plus all the other goodies, a $50 investment will net you AT LEAST 10 strong classic mods, along with MVP 08 + new additions updated for 2009

4) Whenever 2010 gets rollin' there will be even more updates from everyone

MVP 05 was the best investment I ever made and I play a game at least once a week - sure it's old school but the modders here make it look amazing

And I never played on the TV myself but it should be a fun makeshift for a console.

my laptop has an hdmi port; do you or do you know of anyone who plays mvp through their computer on their tv?

I use a HDMI connection between my PC and 40" Samsung TV. MVP looks superb on it, especially with the fantastic mods produced by the guys here.
