Jim825
anyone specific i could beg, urge or pm to ask? That would be a waste of your time and would just annoy the stadium modders. This request was made numerous times last year to no avail. If someone really wants to do it, they will. No amount or begging will change anyone's mind. emath2432
The guys who seem to still be doing MVP stadiums are more into the classic stuff. I love classic stadiums, so I am pretty happy about that. I'd love a New Yankee though as well, and I am sure the guys still doing it would do an amazing job. I was actually thinking there was a guy a few months back that said he was getting back into stadium modding, and was working on Yankee stadium (coulda been another stadium, cant remember for sure). He was one who had apparently done some work back before I joined a little over a year ago, because I don't remember him. Problem is, we have not heard anything from him since a week or so after he mentioned doing it. I figure that either means he lost interest, or stopped talking about it so people would stop bugging him. I personally tried working on something last spring, but was having issues figuring out how to use Z mod, got frustrated and **** canned it all. Trilinear was working on it: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=43416&st=0 His last update was around the middle of November, and I've found that his behavior tends to be that he comes to the site, promotes a mod he is starting, provides updates for a few weeks and then disappears for months at a time without ever releasing anything. Perhaps he'll surprise us this time (and I hope he does), but I wouldn't count on him releasing a new Yankee Stadium.
Yankee4Life
anyone specific i could beg, urge or pm to ask? Nope. Almost a year ago we had some real pain in the ass in here by the name of dshibshm. He was asking about this too. And when Pirate released CitiField in April of last year, that's when he turned it into overdrive. Almost every day this guy complained about no one making the new Yankee Stadium and he became upset about it because the modders were not making the stuff that he wanted them to do. True story. This guy finally ended up getting booted from this site. That's why even today when someone asks about making the new Yankee Stadium in here people get apprehensive. I'd love to see it myself, but if no one makes it then that is how it is. There is enough decent stadiums already so I can adjust just fine without it. Trilinear (and before that when he was known as JDK) would come in and let people know that he is working on something. Before he let everyone know about his intentions of making a new Yankee Stadium mod, he posted previews of uniforms that he was supposed to be making. The guy got a lot of positive feedback from his uniforms and people were anxious to see the finished product, but he never posted them. The sad thing is that the sneak peeks we got from these uniforms looked very good. Then he comes back when the World Series was going on and announces he is working on the new Yankee Stadium. Right after the World Series, he takes off again. I figure he'll be back around spring training. Once again for a few days, maybe giving us a few more screenshots of his "work" and then he'll disappear again until Memorial Day. In other words, don't hold your breath. This guy is as undependable as they come. If I'm wrong, someone tell me.
emath2432
I am hoping that the arrival of spring training gets someone excited enough to give Yankee, or Target field a shot. I am not gonna get my hopes up, my attempt at Yankee helped me understand just how tough/time consuming it can be. My only hope is that these guys are like me. I stopped work on my all-time roster in the middle of last season (The Cubs were pissing me off, and I didn't want to have anything to do with baseball), but after a few months of being without, and the reporting day being about 3 weeks away, I am back to working on it. I am re-working my rosters a little, and might have something basic to put out this spring. It wont be anything fancy (just MLB level, and the player photo file I use). No faces, or anything. Definitely not a total conversion... I will leave that to Homer, and his mod.
LetsGoFish2015
This game is awesome as it is. But why don't they warn or punish that guy who makes promises and then disappears repeatedly?
Jim825
Warn him or punish him about what? Not keeping his word? It's not like his membership here is contingent upon him delivering a mod that he says he is going to create. If he was getting paid to create the stadium, that be one thing, but this isn't like that. Plus we don't know what his personal situation is and if that contributed to his latest disappearance from the site. If we warned everyone who said that they were working on something, only to abandon it later, we'd lose quite a few members here! The fact that people have seen this guy fail to keep promises enough times that they don't believe he'll deliver on what he says, is enough of a punishment. He's done enough to harm his reputation himself without any help from anyone here.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, I've even done it myself ('78 Yankees: Echoes In The Bronx), but if were to adhere to these types of rules, the Dynasty section on this site would go *!poof!*
Yankee4Life
I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, I've even done it myself ('78 Yankees: Echoes In The Bronx), but if were to adhere to these types of rules, the Dynasty section on this site would go *!poof!* That's different. Many people have started and then stopped dynasties for whatever reason. Hell, look at Blades. He must have started about 20 of them that never got past ten games. Stuff like starting a dynasty and then stopping it is no big deal. All the user really has to do is PM a staff member and tell us to delete the thread. No problem. But when you are talking about a mod it's different. Here's another example. Remember what NYM started last June? He wanted to do a NCAA mod and he got a few people to go on board with him. Before long, he stopped coming around and the project was scrapped. He still hasn't been back yet but when he does and comes back again and announces that he has plans for something else, no one is going to help him. emath2432
That's why I wont ask for help on anything I am doing (as far as someone else doing part of the work for the mod) because I tend to come and go. I get bored to easily, and find something else to do for a few weeks/months. I just NOW got back into my roster, and 4 days later and am having desires to mess with stadiums again. I doubt I will really get into it, but you never know.

big blue
Still, it WOULD be enjoyable to experience play in a new 'soup to nuts' Yankee Stadium. Perhaps the ship that has sailed might find a 'port of call' where it can replenish and restore before embarking on a new mission. Please.

Perhaps the ship that has sailed might find a 'port of call' where it can replenish and restore before embarking on a new mission. Please. That would be enjoyable, but unfortunately that ship has not only sailed, it's hit a reef, broken up, sunk to the bottom of the ocean and any survivors who managed to get off the ship were eaten by sharks. The sharks were later killed by Chinese fishermen who cut off their fins and sold them for shark fin soup....
