Will There Even Be Mvp For The Pc

I'm just wondering in 2011 or whenever 2K sports exclusive third party license expires will EA even make MVP for the PC. This past year they stopped making all of their major sports titles( Madden10, NHL 10 NBA 10) for the PC. So if EA revives the MVP Baseball series I don't feel it's a given that it will be on the PC.

Nobody knows yet. That's the best answer I can give you.

It's possible. Right now, no. EA has cut all of their PC titles, but some news releases have EA employees saying that they're trying to move the PS3/XBOX engines onto PC and stop them from making shitty *** games (ie NHL 2005-09). EA had an announcement recently, which many thought could be the kick-start of the MVP series again, but that didn't happen.

As for MVP on PC, obviously since EA doesn't have the rights anymore, the answer is no for 2010 and probably 2011 and 2012. It's still possible that it will eventually come back to life, though, the only thing (I assume) stopping them is the licensing agreement. I agree with you that the 2K lines suck *** through a straw, but other than The Show, there aren't that many alternatives. I use MVP 2005 modded with rosters and everything up to date, so that's my go-to baseball game at the moment.

Do you know if EA still doing the NCAA baseball series?

im not 100% on this but i think ea is done with the NCAA baseball games, only because the last one to come out was in 2007

Thought so. I think I had only seen one. As far as I know, it was just MVP 2005 without the MLB factor involved. If you're still curious about the game, Google it a bit and find out some details for the licensing agreement. Some of the info is kind of a mess, so you need to read carefully.

From what I understand, the rights for 2K expire in 2010. I'd assume in the winter during the offseason, but who knows. EA and 2K are third-party game developers, and if one of them has rights to one sport, the other can't. But both Sony and Nintendo could make separate baseball games because they are first party but the game would only be for the PlayStation (ie The Show) and Nintendo's would only be for the Wii.

If you're dying for a baseball game not named 2K, it's looking like The Show is the one to get. Barring a miracle, they'll be the lead baseball game for the decade. Either that, or if 2K decides not to renew their license and EA decides to pick it up and give The Show are run for their money.
