Maestro23
http://gear.ign.com/articles/106/1065534p1.html February 1, 2010 - If there was one major stumble at last week's iPad unveiling, it was the glaring hole on a webpage where a Flash animation should have been. Apple brushed it off for the rest of the event, but the lack of support has everyone wondering, is this really "The best way to experience the web?" Yankee4Life
So Apple wants to support something called HTML5, which according to this article is an alternative to Flash but is still years away from full implementation? These people make no sense.
MarkB
I'm still putting my money on Apple coming out with some new type of Flash-like component in the next year that the iPad will just happen to support natively...by sheer coincidence, of course. Not at all because Apple has been developing it on the DL for the last 18 months and integrated support for it in the iPad to be used in the future.
