The Big O
The guys over at Operation Sports have put up screenshots of all 30 ML stadiums in the game and multiple shots of each. OPACY is still missing some stuff, but they've done a much better job this year of capturing its likeness. Hopefully I can take care of the rest, and I hope that we will finally crack the stadium models so we can actually fix them properly like we could in MVP. MarkB
At least they managed to get the State Farm and Pepsi ads in the right places in Yankee Stadium. Well...for the most part. Good gameplay + crackable stadium models should be enough to turn 2K10 into a good game. Knowing the work that some of the modders can do, crackable stadium models in itself would turn it into a decent game, even if the gameplay was crap, but it wouldn't last. Yeah and as I offered for 2K9, I'd be willing to fork over cash to whoever could crack those models. And I'm sure others would as well. I wonder if that guy Showfom's editor will still work for 2K10? It appears he has some stuff for NBA2K10 on his website already...
MarkB
Definitely a good sign if he's started on NBA 2K10. That reminds me, I've not tried NBA 2K10 yet. Played 2K9 for a few months and enjoyed it.
emath2432
What's up with the buildings in the distance that look like you are looking through someone else's prescription glasses? Pittsburgh for example. EDIT: Ehh. They aren't bad. The Show's stadiums look a lot better though. Some of these look okay, but some look like they squeezed out of my butt. Really need to be higher res, that's for sure.
Sean O
It's not even worth explaining where they're wrong about Fenway at this point.
MarkB
It's not even worth explaining where they're wrong about Fenway at this point. That, I can believe. I'm not a fan of Fenway in the slightest and even I can see huge discrepancies in how it looks. I can't imagine how many issues someone who knows Fenway from the ground up - literally - like you do would notice. Good old 2K, huh? Just give us solid gameplay. DonSPa
most stadiums im not going to know whether somethings missing or in the wrong place and honestly that isnt going to bother me anyways as long as like mark says the gameplay is quality.I cant imagine any game that they are gonna get everything just perfect.I believe 2k used whatever blue prints and whatever pics they have and so they may be limited on just how accurate they can be.Thats like last year i finally got to see the pirates in pnc park and because of 2k i found myself during the game looking around the stadium and noticing what was in the game and what was not and unless whomever 2k had working on stadiums had actually been in the stadiums then it would be hard to get every detail in game just by looking at pics.Pnc park is one beautiful stadium and i fell in love with it the moment i stepped into it and i was thinking too bad i couldnt just zap the things i saw and put them into the game just so everyone who plays the game that will never get to the park could see what i was seeing.I would love for 2k to be able to put the FX with flashing colors etc that surrounds the whole stadium that has things like ads and shows things like the top home run hitters etc or will flash the lineups etc and it constantly changes but i know whether its 2k or the show or any other company could never never really get the full FX but as long as they are fairly close and visually stunning and most important good gameplay then ill be happy
HardcoreLegend
PNC Park is a mess. As someone that spent 3 years building and rebuilding the stadium in MVP Baseball, the person that designed the stadium in this game has apparently never been there. They left out the concession stands. The scoreboard is the wrong shape. They forgot the seating underneath the scoreboard. The concession stands missing is a real drag because it makes the stadium look smaller than it is with the buildings outside being able to be seen. Really need to be higher res, that's for sure. 2K9 had a "feature" that made things look that way as well. It could be turned off, which is how I've played. Hopefully the same is true for 2K10. Another thing I hope can be shut off or modified is the black circle that shows on the field when a fly ball is hit, making it look like a giant meteor is heading towards the earth and blocking out the sun. Previous versions have had a much lighter shade of gray that didn't look quite so extreme.
