What team will you do with Create a Ballpark

Even, the level of inherent suckage at L'Estade Olympique surpassed the ickiness of the Three VetsFront clones. They never even cleaned any of the (mostly empty) ugly yellow seats over its 30 year period. It's a park entirely devoid of any positive aspects, including a roof that never worked correctly and cost millions, and a stadium in general that I don't think was ever fully paid for. When it comes to the ugliest of the ugly, Montreal had everyone beat.

Not that I don't hate the clones. Though, oddly, I have a certain affection for the slight changes made to Busch Stadium, with the flags and scoreboard and whatnot in the upper deck in center. Still will be exciting when the new Busch opens up though.

Actually it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be when I went, the seats were pretty comfortable

EDIT-Is there any news on more retro stadiums?

Like Mantle and Mays? They mantion mays in 04, "...and flashes a Willie Mays!" But was dissapointed when he wasn't in the game

I have no idea exactly who more is in the game but they mentioned Mantle and Eckersly by name...other than that I have heard noother names but there is guranteed to be more than those 2 added to the list from last year.

Indians!

I want to try and remake Municipal Stadium-the Mistake on the Lake. It was big, it was old, it was falling apart, but that seperated the real fans from the posers!

LOL, I won't be, Jacobs Field is teh rule!

plus, Olympic Stadium is one of the worst baseball stadium in history

I've seen 21 of MLB stadiums and I have to say I really enjoyed Olympic Stadium the two times I got to visit. There was just something about it, perhaps the bilingual atmosphere made it different. Sure it's no Safeco Field or SBC Park and I'm sure if I lived in MTL I'd get sick of it, but I think it had it's place in baseball history.

I hope it's in the game but I doubt it, if not I'm going to attempt a mod for it.

I only have been to one MLB game, and that was Astros vs. Expos at Olympic stadium in '98. I live in New Brunswick , so I was in Quebec for boot camp. My platoon went to Olympic Stadium , and sat behind the visitors dugout. It was amazing. The attendance was announced at over 30,000...the atmosphere...I loved it. Bagwell hit a three run homer, and I believe the 'Stros won. The only complaint I had was Youpie dancing in frontt of me during in between innings. The only weird thing I saw was a vendors going aisle to aisle selling sushi! Hilarious!

I also got to go to Ottawa to see a AAA game between Ottawa and the Toldeo Mud Hens. That was amazing also. In the dead of summer, beautiful , hot night in an outdoor stadium. It was amazing! I got Curtis Pride's autograph(deaf ball-player)....that was back in '95, can't even remember who else was playing, although I do remember Ottawa coming back in the tenth to win the game on a walk-off home run! God, I love baseball.

I'm gonna build a sweet outdoor only, no retractable roof, stadium for the Twins. The Metrodome is the worst, unless it is the playoffs then it is so loud in there it's amazing. The Metrodome is a great "dome" field advantage, but there is nothing worse than going inside on a nice 70 degree evening in MN to watch baseball.

does anyone get the impression that, if you want to create a stadium, you HAVE to do it prior to your first season? I'll be playing with the Phillies, and considering they are already in a new park, I'd kinda like to play in it. In Madden, you can build a stadium at any time in your franchise. Wondering if MVP will allow you to do the same thing...

From the screenshots that I've seen, I don't think it's possible to build a domed or retractable roof stadium. I think that an outdoor-only ballpark might be the only option. :x

Other than that, create-a-ballpark looks really in-depth. I'm going to create a new Yankee Stadium with short dimensions, low walls and blue fences, and create a home-run hitting powerhouse of a team. They will truly be the Bronx Bombers! I might give up a few home runs, but I'll guarantee you that I'll be able to out-slug the other teams almost every game.

That we will...Jeets, A-Rod, Sheff, Godzilla, Tino, Bernie, Jorge, The Giambino, Tony, that is one hell of a line-up.

I'm gonna try to replicate the dimensions of the old Yankee Stadium.

I will definitely be the Nats.... the screenshots of RFK are damn near repulsive!

Other teams that I think need a new park:

Marlins

Dodgers

Mets

Royals

Twins

A's

Also, there are a couple stadiums that are fairly new, but I don't like:

D-Rays

White Sox

Tigers
