kraken613
I got the 2K10 yesterday, I instantly understood and picked up the pitching very well. Same thing with the fielding it's similar to 2K9 but a bit more solid. But hitting... Man, I am having insane trouble hitting in this game. I always seem in front of behind the pitches. Any one else have issues with the hitting, or does it just take time with the new camera? And seriously what is up with these menus? They suck! Norag
I don't know, apparently I'm a freak. I've seen multiple threads and shouts talking about how agonizing the hitting is and I don't understand it. Nine games into spring training I have 24HR and even more extra base hits. I have been winning against the CPU in the 12-15 to 0 range. Votto has my highest avg. with a .549. I just recently raised the difficulty to pro and still won 9-1, 12-4, ect. The only thing I can think of is, are people starting on rookie or a higher level (NOTE: the game default IS Pro)? I really think I would be having a lot of issues had I not started on Rookie. As noted above, to do this, one must manually change it to rookie. That being said, I have noticed a substantial increase in the difficulty. For example, even though I have scored a lot, I was struck out 9 times by Grienke before busting it open in the fifth inning. electro_cute
you're not a freak, you're playing on rookie. most of those swings would end up as flyouts, or even strikeouts and popups at pro or some other level.

emath2432
I have no idea what level the demo is but have hit 2 hr and had 6 hits combined in my 2 three inning games. 1home run on power swing 1on contact.
Griz891
I'm playing All-Star Level and the hitting is getting better and better all the time. I'm playing the Giants and today I beat the Diamondbacks 8-5. I had 14 hits 4 homeruns and only struck out 6 times. Compared to striking out at least 10-12 times a game....lol. kraken613
I am tending to strike out quite a bit, which is good. I rarely struck out on 2K9.

Right, my point was that it makes the curve smoother if you start out on rookie and work your way up, which is exactly what I'm doing. Yes, I am flying and striking out more, but I still can consistently put 8-10 runs on the board (the Dodgers actually gave me a hell of a game that ended up 6-4). Like I said, I just think it makes it easier and leads to less frustration if you work through the levels.
LouisvilleLipp
I've had the game since it came out (March 2nd) and have yet to hit one out. Closest I came was a deep fly ball to left center by Miguel Cabrera that Shane Victorino ran down at the wall in a Grapefruit League game. Real frustrating. DeadElvis
Pratice - pratice - pratice. The control options on the PC version are not good - call it what it is. All of their other games give you options like classic controls - NHL for example. They rushed this out the door and they did not port it correctly. Their excuse will be - "well the PC vesion is cheaper then let's say the XBox version"..... One can understand a bug in a game here and there - that they can eventaully patch but this contols issue is simple - elementary. Sorry my opinion NO excuse. They should just patch this classic control issue right now. No one should have to sit and try to re-map the entire contoller and do their work for them after you pay them 30 buck for the game... Oh well let's see what they do. Just wish there was another baseball option for PC like years ago.
