MarkB
If you like the PS2 controller, get a USB conversion cable and all it takes is a few registry changes and you have a perfectly good controller. :)

olyrunner
I really like my Logitech Dual Action Rumblepad. It's a little more sturdy than the regular Logitech Dual Action, and the D-pad is a lot easier to use. For MVP 2004 I had to go through the registry-edit-and-rename-to-Logitech-Dual-Action adventure (which I couldn't have figured out on my own - many thanks to those people that posted solutions in the "get my controller to work" sticky). In the end, it was worth it. I really like this controller.

This is the method I use and recommend, especially if you already have a ps2. If so, you can pick up a Radio Shack Adapter for $10 bucks and you're good to go. five
just bought it! Good luck with that, I've only heard bad things about it. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones.
cable901
I've had two of three Logitech Controllers crap out on me.
wilmer007
Man if you got a PS2 Controller take back what you bought and go to your local Radio Shack and buy the PSX to PC Adapter mentioned above and your all set. Theres a registry fix on Gamefaqs and here i made a sticky to fixing the PS2 Controller to work perfectly on MVP 2004. I have the RadioShack Adapter and it is by far the best $10 investment i have ever made.
LetsGoOakland
I just bought the converter from Radio Shack online because the only R.S. within a 20 mile radius does not have one and employs high school dropouts to run the business (these guys are the dumbest people I've ever met in my life). squeegeedeadly
I've had my Logitech Wingman Rumblepad for over 3 years and it's great. http://www.smarter.com/product_images/0026...002_179_134.jpg
KerryW
You probably aleady decided on your controller, but NEVER get anything with the word LOGITECH...unless you want it to break down in a week... The Saitek P880 or P2500 is the way to go..
squeegeedeadly
It's weird because i never had any problems with my Logitech stuff. I have a cordless keyboard, cordless optical mouse, wingman gamepad, wingman joystick and wingman wheel.
The H
For me, nothing beats this adapter when combined with a Playstation 2 Dual-Shock controller.
JoltinJoeCarter
im not a console gamer, but i do have ps1, so will the PS1 controller work wiht the adapter just as well as the PS2 controller?? I know they are the same controller, but the PS1 controller has some problems with certain games, like NFSU2, when u hook it up to a ps2.
five
Is it a dual shock ps1 controller: If so, it'll work fine on the computer.
JoltinJoeCarter
yup, ^^ exactly that one, so i guess im gonna get the adapter from Radio Shack, thanks One more thing, do they sell adapters with TWO ports, so i can plug in 2 controllers & play multiplayer?? The H
Yes, correct. An adapter like the one I posted about supports usage of two controllers at the same time.

spitoon
I've been using a Thrustmaster Dual Power 3, with some tweaking and I really like it. Having said that, I just picked up a Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2, and it seems to work very well with the game (2004 anyways).
