15Beltran
Down 6-4 with a runner on in the top of the ninth the PC lets the pitcher bat ???? LOL. Anyone else have this brilliant move happen ? I'm really trying to give 2K10 a chance and leave that dated graphics of MVP behind but dumb things like this that makes the game LAME at times... I hope the patch addresses bugs like this. MarkB
Well, if you're playing in an N.L. league, that will happen because the AI keeps the pitcher in for far too long and doesn't pull him unless he's getting absolutely shelled.
SeveredSoulX
Truthfully, I would let Zambrano pinch hit before anyone on the Cubs bench hit :D

Griz891
I've also noticed that in the National League when your pitcher is at bat, that the AI always throws strikes. I've yet to see the AI throw a ball other than in the strike zone to your pitcher. That seems pretty odd to me.
emath2432
Well, I am talking The Show here, but I have hit a home run with Zambrano. I pinch hit with him quite often. Cubs don't have a lot of punch on the bench when it comes to video games. Hopefully real life is better than this... Only issue in this game (Show), with that strategy, is that Zambrano is forced to stay in the game to face one batter (unless he gets on base, and I can use a pinch runner). I have not checked to see if that was fixed with the second patch, but if not, I hope it is in the 3rd. It kinda sucks.
JoeRudi26
I played with the Cubs on MVP back in '07, and if I remember right Zambrano hit 3 or 4 homeruns that year. Batted around .230 if I'm not mistaken.
15Beltran
Truthfully, I would let Zambrano pinch hit before anyone on the Cubs bench hit Actually it was Brian Sanchez from the Marlins. I mean that is a basic baseball strategy used 99% of the time in that situation, LAME !!!!! I would PH wih Zambrano also hehe

I've been down 3-2 with bases loaded 2 outs and my pitcher comes up, very frustrating.

This also seems to occur when you're an A.L. pitcher batting, I've noticed in My Player that you get nothing but strikes when hitting. Of course, this isn't too unrealistic, but a real-life pitcher would at least mix a breaking ball off the plate to see if you'll swing at a bad pitch. Nope, nothing but strikes. I just wish they were a little bit less picky on when you can make substitutions - although I like the fact that you can have non-pitchers pitch, it seems a little silly to have to go out and pull Mike Fontenot off the mound - because you had him pinch hit for the pitcher. Next time though - I think I'll just leave him in and see how he does lol
