roadranger
i just downloaded the new roster for mvpmod '08. how can i change this roster to use as an .mbe file in mvp edit? i've tried changing the name of the file and that didn't work. i clicked on 'import', but the only files that show up are .mbe files. i know i've done this before, but it's been a while and i can't remember how
MarkB
As it says in the "The Support Forum - Read This First" thread, the "The Big, Nasty, All-encompassing Faq List" thread in the MVP 2005 forum should answer this for you.
roadranger
i'm sorry. i did go to the faq's and the 'read this before you post' postings and i didn't see an answer to my question. there was no 'read me' file with the download. it gave the author's name, but there wasn't anything listed for him as far as an email address or way to contact him. i installed the files into the data/database files, it's just that i want to be able to edit the players with mvp edit and either need to get a .mbe file of this roster, or change the file extension. i tried to change the file extension and import it into mvp edit, but that didn't work

Is is a .SAV file or is it a series of .dat files? If it is a series of .dat files, then simply click on the import button on the MVPEdit menubar, select your data \ database folder and then click the OK button. Your rosters will then be imported into MVPEdit.
