garrettsmith521
I cannot get the overlay in "Best of 80s and 90s" to change. I replace the files (bdcstdat.big, igonly.big, ingame.big and igcrsr.fsh) but the overlay and the broadcast music do not change. Does anyone know why? I have replaced the overlays and music in the other versions of MVP that I have and they work just fine. What's the deal with this version? Thanks. Yankee4Life
There is no special deal with this mod's overlay and it can be replaced as easy as any other overlay in any other mod that we have on the site. What overlay are you trying to install? Provide the link. Did you read the directions? Basically to replace an overlay is one of the simplest things to do in here as all you have to do is over right two files (the IGONLY.BIG and the INGAME.BIG files) and you are good to go. garrettsmith521
I have tried overlays for FOX, ESPN, FSN Arizona, and even the original MVP 2005 overlay. I have overwritten those files about 10 times now. I then start the game and the Total Classics overlay is still shown. I don't get it. You are right, overlays are suppose to be the easiest thing to change.

So you get the new overlay, you over write those two files (the IGONLY.BIG and the INGAME.BIG files) and you have them in the DATA\FRONTEND directory? And they still don't update for you? I don't get it.
garrettsmith521
I don't get it either. I just tried it again, only this time I deleted the igonly.big and the ingame.big completly. Then, when I started the game, the classic overlay was still there. Could it be embedded in another file somewhere? I never seen or heard of this happening before. emath2432
I hate to ask a dumb question, but I have done this myself once... Do you have more than one install of MVP? Is it possible that you are replacing an overlay in another install by accident? Idiot me replaced my menu music in MVP 08, instead of the All Time TC mod I was working on. Easy enough to fix, but I just wasn't paying enough attention at the time.

No, I don't believe that the overlay for this particular mod is different from the rest of the mods out there. In fact I'd say I am 100 % sure of this. garrettsmith521
I figured it out. Best of 80s and 90s creates a hidden file inside the windows user file. It prevents changes in the root folder. I deleted the hidden files and boom...the overlays (and everything else for that matter) can be changed. I created the mod and can guarantee that I didn't put any hidden files in there. How did you install the mod - with the installer or by manually copying files? Finally, what operating system are you running?
