LetsGoOakland
Player Fatigue is in the game according to this. Not sure if this was posted already but read it here: http://www.operationsports.com/features.as...vpbaseball05int
LetsGoOakland
For those who do not want to read it, here is a quick summary. For major league careers, year-by-year stat tracking is in, thank god. Minor league stats are tracked year-by-year starting with 2005. Sounds like no single-season or career records this year. Night playoff games included. Mickey Mantle and Johnny Bench in this year (among many more). 60 new classic uniforms. More classic stadiums such as Classic Fenway. Manager changes, players cannot become managers. Player fatigue is in the game and if they do not get rest, it affects their ratings and increase their chance of getting hurt. CPU steals and performs hit and runs at the opportune times. Fewer diving catches with a Dive Frequency slider. Slider for frequency of balls thrown by CPU. Pitcher warm ups and subs more timely. Realistic subs by CPU for pinch hitter, runner, etc.
Trues
Slider for frequency of balls thrown by CPU. Now that is the best addition I've seen yet (if it works right). :D
Anaxamand0r
Now that is the best addition I've seen yet (if it works right). That's bigger to me than any addition I've seen so far, if it works. With a nice amount of walks, this game would be f'n awesome.
MarkB
I must say, with all the things I'm hearing about this game, I'm really starting to look forward to it.
LetsGoOakland
Mos Def. PC version all the way though. This site has me addicted to PC mods.
hoserthehorrible
From what I've seen in videos, and read in interviews, a lot of last year's issues have been fixed. I suspect there will be something that has been broken, or needs to be tweaked or modded, but the game is looking and sounding like it's on the right track. Just a few of the fixes to this year's game..... * Lefties and righties hit HRs with similar power and frequency * CPU will steal * More CPU hit & runs and run & hits * Throwing to a fielder on the run works * Less gappers for triples * Less fabulous over the head diving catches (tuneable) * Drag bunts * More balls thrown by the CPU (tuneable) * Player fatigue * Better player progression * Better roster management * Wind and weather in games and franchise mode * Better substitution AI * Better tags (specially by the catcher)
jg2977
Are there any players who retire early because they are goofballs and want to smoke pot, like Ricky Williams? I hope not. I'm glad to see that there is year-to-year stat tracking. This makes it much easier to see if a player is on the decline or on the rise, or pretty much stable. Night playoff games are more realistic too. I hope that they fixed the playoff seedings though. The team with the best record in the league should play either the wild-card (if wild-card is from different division) or the division-winner with the worst record (if wild-card is a division rival), and that didn't always happen in last year's game. It would be nice to see better celebrations too, like the World Series winner hoisting the World Series trophy on the field after the last game. LetsGoOakland
I hope there are a lot less retirements, especially for things like ability and personal reasons. So many guys quit each year. Within a few years, it was mostly fake players.

69Yanks
Yeah. Mickey Mantle. Now I can stop the endless tweaks of the Mantle I tried to do.
