abclefty12
I downloaded 2k10 yesterday from gamestop for $2.99. The download finished so I began the setup process and I get this error message at the end of extracting and it won't let me advance. Any help? The download finished so I began the setup process and I get this error message at the end of extracting and it won't let me advance. Any help? Your file has errors in it. Option 1. Redownload the whole thing. Option 2. I can help you fix your file. Do you know where the downloaded files are? Mine went in C:\Users\Public\Public Downloads If you want me to help you, install this: http://www.quickpar.org.uk/Download.htm Then download this: http://tywiggins.mlbmods.com/mlb2k10par/MLB2K10.Data.001.par2 and put it in the same folder as MLB2K10.Data.001 Then Open the .par2 file in QuickPar. It will scan your file and tell you how many blocks you need. If the number of blocks you need is less than 29, these files will be enough for quickpar to fix your file: 1 block -- http://tywiggins.mlbmods.com/mlb2k10par/MLB2K10.Data.001.vol000+01.PAR2 2 blocks -- http://tywiggins.mlbmods.com/mlb2k10par/MLB2K10.Data.001.vol001+02.PAR2 4 blocks -- http://tywiggins.mlbmods.com/mlb2k10par/MLB2K10.Data.001.vol003+04.PAR2 8 blocks -- http://tywiggins.mlbmods.com/mlb2k10par/MLB2K10.Data.001.vol007+08.PAR2 14 blocks -- http://tywiggins.mlbmods.com/mlb2k10par/MLB2K10.Data.001.vol015+14.PAR2 If you need 30 - 200 blocks, I have those files, I just haven't uploaded them. If you need more than 200 blocks these files are useless to you. It also means that your file is over 10% damaged.
abclefty12
Hey thanks for the help man! Unfortunately, I scanned the file and it has no errors and says no repair is needed. Any other advice or than just downloading it again?

Any other advice or than just downloading it again? If the par2 files say the file is OK you have computer issues could be overclocking, bad memory, or a bad sector on a hard drive

abclefty12
I opened up the repair file that you made as a link and I put in the same folder and ran in quickpar. It has been going for about 10 minutes but if I click no it says do you want to abort repair as pictured in my attachment. Does it normally take this long? I just intentionally damaged mine, and repaired it with quick par. it took 3 minutes 38 seconds. You might try aborting and trying it again. My guess is that you just need to free up a little more space. The game says it requires 9.5 GB of hard drive space. Extracting the .001 .002 .003 .004 pretty much gives you the game disc which is 7.06 GB. So if you add those together it's possible that it requires 16.56 GB

mantis3
That seems to be the part you need to scan. I have already scanned that and found it's missing one block. Do you have the repair file? edit: changed the number to 3, seems you have uploaded it and just linked me wrong. http://tywiggins.mlbmods.com/mlb2k10par/MLB2K10.Data.003.vol000+01.PAR2 thanks, hoping this works!
