Road Fan Takeover

Easiest mod ever.

Let's say you are about to play a road game in a stadium known for your fans outnumbering the home team's fans. Examples:

• Tampa Bay
  
• Washington
  
• Florida
  
• Some team you really hate
  

Opening Day 2010 in Philadelphia Washington.

The game has uniforms not only for the players, but also for the fans. Taking into account the game's rather optimistic turnout algorithm, this now means there are more Tampa Bay Rays fan shirts in your game than in all of Pinellas County.

Step 1: Find the fan uniforms for the team you are about visit. For our example (because it happened this year), let's say you're the Phillies and visiting the Nationals. You first go to the Nats' fans' file, which is uniform_wan_home_crowd.iff in your MLB 2K10 folder.

Step 2: Change the name to something that is easy for you to change back, say, uniform_wan_home_crowd.iff.BAK.

Step 3: Find your team's file, in this case uniform_php_home_crowd.iff.

Step 4: Make a copy of this file in the same directory.

Step 5: Re-name that file uniform_wan_home_crowd.iff

Play game.

Voila! The stadium will still pipe in fan noise against you but when you look around, you will be delighted by the millions of your wonderful fans who made the trip for you (or in the case of the Florida teams, retired there and are so happy you finally came to visit your poor dear old mother, because why should she get a visit because she knows you are sooo busy with that nice job in the city and that nice girl, oh how is that nice girl is she Jewish? ...)

or in the case of some modders who shall remain nameless, schedule their trips to visit certain Floridian transplants only when the Tigers or Mets are in town.
