Caribe Mod 2009 Crashing

Hey guys,

I recently downloaded the Caribe mod and whenever I'm loading an exhibition game, it will crash to the desktop. I can get into the game in franchise but whenever I'm trying to skip some innings there's also a big chance of a crash. I have a legit copy and without mods, the game runs fine.

Interestingly though, I get the exact same crashes with Caribe that I would get when I was trying to use a No-Cd exe and since I assume there's nothing wrong with the latest Caribe mod for '05, it leaves me absolutely puzzled as to what could be wrong.

Hope somebody is familiar with this issue.

Hey, is this the same parkman from TPG? If so, hello.

For some reason (and I don't know why) when I use a no cd patch this game doesn't run right. When I load the game with the CD I can play Caribe 2009 with no problem.

and without mods, the game runs fine.

Well, you really don't need to install any mods if you have this Caribe 09 installed. And I am positive that you installed the mod just the way the Caribe guys wanted you to.

Hey, if you like this mod and can get it to work, try the WBC mod they came out with last year.

Yeah Y4l, it's me. Anyway, I figured out the problem. Oddly enough, cleaning my cd seemed to do the trick (yes I was that desperate because this mod is so awesome).

Wonderful! I hope you enjoy it. I play this one a lot too. And like I said, try this one too if you want. It is made by the same guys who did the Caribe mod.

Since you play it a lot, you might be able to tell me about postseason requirements and structure. I assume it's the same as with regular MVP since that part of the game can't be altered but if it's different I'd like to know in what areas. I've already noticed that series during the reg season are shorter than would be the case in MLB.

Well I really couldn't because both in Mvp Caribe and the WBC mod I have only played exhibition games there because I don't know a lot of the players.

Now while I am at it, I'll throw another one at you. The Mvp Caribe guys have a third mod too. It's called Mvp Mexico 2009 and that mod deals with the Mexican Summer League. Those guys on that website are wonderful. You need to be a registered member there to download this.

Thanks for the heads-up. Crashes are back again. Yesterday I could get through any amount of games without problems it seems and today it's on the fritz again. Leaves me puzzled. I'll give the Mexico mod a shot after one last re-install of Caribe.
