elfdutch
Still playing the mpv08 and mvp94 mods. I also have to total classics mod. I own a ps3 and have mlb 09 the show and mlb2k10. I think (and am probably the only one) that mlb09 the show sucks. The game is beautifull to watch but to me it somehow just isnt right. It gives me no joy at all. Mlb 2k10 : i love the stick pitching a lot. I also like the stick swinging. Other then that the gameplay is just a little off. I do have high expectations for mlb2k11, but this year its good for just a single game every now and then. So, i went back to mvp and immediately in the 1st inning i knew what i've been missing. I just love the fielding so much. The way you can dive in pretty most any direction. The way you can run up against the walls. Pitching does feel a little outdated but in general i still think its a brilliant game....because of all the mods of course. So, mvp all the way here. Still hoping for a 2010 version but if not i can always download a roster and the latest stadiums.
DadOfTwins
Definitely NOT dead! Had a computer meltdown a few months ago..lost everything. In the process of rebuilding & reinstalling everything, I got my hands on 2k10. Tried it..REALLY tried to like it..but kept yearning for MVP & the 08 mod. Just so much more enjoyable than anything else available for the PC. Would dearly love to see another full mod for next season..but even if that doesn't happen, I'll still play my MVP08 :)
jwheels
Not dead at all! Have tried to get into 2k09 and even 2k10, can't. The game play of MVP, realism, and the ability to use the game is great! Not to mention the franchise mode is the best ever made. I don't hold my breath for a new total conversion mod, but if one ever was made I would pay for it. If anyone wanted to create a datafile that has the same pitching pitching features as Jim's combo file adn the batting features of MD's datafile with same hitting and fielding cams as MD's, the game would be perfect! I am almost 36 and love this game, it is the only computer game I play or that keeps my interest, it will never die.....in my opinion. :D
JoeRudi26
if one ever was made I would pay for it. You guys might want to check out THIS THREAD I guess the first thing we're going to need is, at the very least, all kinds of positive feedback. wtferrell
Well said! People over at the "other website" are still asking for all kinds of files. And now that someone has made a new Yankee Stadium, I expect new life to be breathed into the game. Not dead by a long shot. More like a Phoenix rising from the ashes Not to be a noob, but what is the "other website" that has a New Yankee Stadium? I've been searching to no avail. Thanks

Thanks He was talking about this website. We are the only ones who have the New Yankee Stadium.
wtferrell
Where on earth can I find it Yankee? I'm looking everywhere, donated to the site, so I can keep downloading and supporting all of these great mods. MVP may actually beat out the show after all is said and done. If you could provide a link for me, I'd be greatful.

wtferrell
LOL... Yeah, I found it right after I posted. For some reason, I looked at the Create a Stadium portion, and just wrote it off for some reason. I haven't gotten the chance to play with it yet, but looks good from those screens. emath2432
For me yes, it's officially dead. There are just to many things about it that never really felt like real baseball to me. Plus, there are too many things that are a little dated. I found everything I always wanted/needed in a baseball game with The Show 10. I have been playing baseball games since the 80's, back on the old Atari systems, and this game is easily my favorite game of all time (with High Heat being a close second). I realize things like this are all a matter of opinion, so I wont try to push anything on any of you, but now after about 6 months with The Show 10, I can never go back. I have even moved my "All Time project" over to that game now. Yes, I can't install classic stadiums, or classic unis, but the game play is such that I don't even care. It's obviously not dead as a whole though, as there are many who don't have a PS3, or that are just so hung up on the idea of PC baseball that they will never try The Show... So until someone that actually knows how to make a baseball game gets the contract and comes out on PC, MVP will never really die.
